Yep. This whole QB mess is really starting to irk me. If you're going to lose to the Raiders at home with the 36 year old journeyman taking snaps then you should probably just ride with the young guy to see what he can do.

I wanted to hold off saying that until after McCown got a whole game. Now he has, and now Manziel should be starting.

Yesterday Bryan Billick was on the show and he said Browns are idiots in running the business model of "let's wait till the season's ruined, (and it will be ruined) before we play Johnny" He said that if that scenario plays out and Manziel plays lights out, it doesn't mean anything because the season is already shot. He's right.

Also...why is it that all these shitty teams (just like the Browns) last year and this year are playing their top qb draft pick....but not Cueball? Weren't these other teams "tasked to win". LOL.

First order of business on Monday...Farmer needs to can the head coach for being a stubborn mule. And the second order of business is Haslam canning Farmer for all the shit he's done wrong.
Mr. Billick doesn't know that the Brown's strategy is to wait till the season's ruined before they play Manziel. He's speculating. They could have clear milestones set for Manziel and when he reaches them, he will play. he appears to have takes some steps forward this year. That's a good sign

I agree with this, however when we undoubtedly fire Pettine and Farmer this year, the new guys will want to draft their own "guy" and will essentially cut bait on Manziel, who will then turn in to a HOF QB strictly because we're the Browns.

Unless McCown plays much better this week, and the Browns win, I have to think the coaches will turn it over to Manziel in week 5.

Using Brian Billick, a man who was notorious for fielding terrible QB's and is only surpassed by Mike Hargrove for the "making more (talent) into less/falling into a pile of tits & coming out sucking your thumb award", as a QB "expert" is laughable.

"Coach" Billick had more talent during that stretch yet only got one ring and a blindfolded monkey could've won a Lombardi (on autopilot) with the squad he did.

For Billick to call anyone an "idiot" is quite funny.

With that being said, JFF should be starting. But in the same breath, I completely agree with your "milestones" comment. I think they have a clear plan on when they are going to put him in but it's not fast enough for the fan base.

Just fucking start manziel and treat him like a quarterback in the NFL and not some "wildcat" option at Oregon.

Option A: start manziel, fanbase applauds move, good move for short and long term

Option B: start McCown, fanbase questions you, not a good move for the short or long term, we'll mix in manziel for "special packages"

Browns coaching logic: yeah we'll go with option B.
I'm also someone who thinks Manziel should be starting.

    2 reasons:

#1) Manziel will get a chance to show the world that he is complete shit at QB in the NFL
#2) Higher draft pick for the Browns in April's draft

I agree with the first point but the second one I don't. Josh or Johnny they still lose plenty and then yes they will pick the wrong person anyway.

Let's just hope Farmer's not the one picking because he'll probably draft a light in the pants DE "project" pass rusher or another corner with the pick. :(

Milestones? WTF is that? Nobody seems interested in answering my question. All these other teams play their early round drafted quarterback except Cleveland. How incompetent can it get? And to all these assclowns like Sleeper that have labeled him a bust, better show up to take your whoopin when you are proven wrong. When will this happen? Probably after Manziel is jettisoned out of town just like Dion Lewis and T Prior were.
  • Footwedge
And another thing that annoys the shit out me. So tired of the know it all JFF bashers that say he's 5'10", 180 lbs. Do you people lie in your every day life too? Lower than whale shit.

Haslam needs to fire Pettine Sunday if he does any of the "Johnny package" bullshit.

McCown is your guy, live and die with him. If Johnny isn't good enough to start then he isn't good enough to bring in for a few token plays that won't do anything other than mess him up. Cut out the gimmicky shit.

If Mike thinks he's going to appease those who want Johnny in there with a few insignificant snaps then he can go to hell.

I feel bad for Johnny that he is stuck with a backwards thinking overglorified high school coach that is in way over his head. To compound matters he goes out and gets one of the worst offensive coordinators in the league who has no business running and NFL offense.

This is becoming a common pattern for Mike. He elevates guys to jobs they have no business doing because like himself, he knows this is the only chance many of them will get to pad their resume. Flip and O'Neil are 2 sides of the same coin. Life long position coaches able to say they ran an offense/defense that was horrendous because a life long coordinator decided to extend his racket to them.

It is grotesque what this man has been allowed to do to the Cleveland Browns.

Haslam should be proud. Literally everyone in the organization has a job title well above their actual competence level. It is no wonder that Browns fans are contemplating shuttle services to the 480 bridge.

I am calling for a Browns victory today.

Pettine will be fellating McCown after the game, and the misery that is being a Browns fan will continue marching on.

The worst part is we have to wait until 4:00 to watch it.

Only team Manziel could play on and become a HOF QB, plays in arenas or the Canadian Football league.

McCown 4-32 as a starter on the road. Lololololololo.

We're going to lose by double digits. Pretty confident.

Supposedly joe Haden is out with a finger injury? If so what a little bitch
  • IggyPride00
The Chargers O-line is beyond decimated.

It is there for the taking. This team is horrendous if they don't win today.

Maybe Keenan Allen won't go off now?

I thought the same thing. Losing Haden at this point is a net positive. If Whitner could just get hurt there might actually be some hope for the secondary.
  • IggyPride00
Most undisciplined team in the league.

    It starts at the top.
