I've already forgotten his name. GSW is basically a 2-man show and if you shut down 1 of the 2 man show, the rest don't matter.Commander of Awesome;1731406 wrote:You will be. -
Azubuike24I will say this. I never saw the Spurs handling the Heat so easily last year either.

sleeperLebron scored 42 against Draymond Green in his only meeting this year with them.
Again, Draymond Green wouldn't even play a single minute on the Cavs roster. -

THIS I disagree with. The dude is an excellent defender, although I don't think he stands a chance against LeBron when there's a title in sight for the city of Cleveland.sleeper;1731410 wrote:Lebron scored 42 against Draymond Green in his only meeting this year with them.

This. You can acknowledge how good Green is while also thinking there's no way in hell he's slowing down the L-Train.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1731412 wrote:THIS I disagree with. My standards are a lot higher than most but the entire point of this discussion is to communicate that Draymond Green doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of slowing down Lebron James on a mission.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1731412 wrote:THIS I disagree with. Seeing as you both thought we wouldn't beat the bulls, and that the Hawks would be a tough series, I take your analysis with a grain of salt.like_that;1731390 wrote:Man a lot of confidence in this thread lol. I will be the Debbie downer and say I don't think the cavs can win this series without love and especially without Kyrie at 100%.
Unless you're going reverse jinx, then by all means, carry on. -
Lovejoy1984Draymond Green is a good defender, however he's smaller, slower, and weaker LBJ, he stands litterally 0 chance of guarding him effectively the whole game. Better chance is Igudola, who is long enough, and still athletic enough to bother him, but playing Iggy, means you've gotta take someone else out, which gives the Cavs an advantage somewhere.

He's a big dude, strong, but he's substantially slower than LBJ. Iggy almost has the opposite problem; he's too scrawny to keep in front of him. Iggy is their best chance at containing Lebron but I just don't see it. Going to be a long series for the Warriors SF/PF/SG position.HighRoller74;1731426 wrote:Draymond Green is a good defender, however he's both smaller, slower, and weaker LBJ, he stands litterally 0 chance of guarding him effectively the whole game. FootwedgeCavs are the better team, have the best record in the NBA since mid January, went 13-1 against the West to close out the season, have 10 times more experience regarding players in NBA finals, and head and shoulders the best player on the floor.
Cavs will win in 4 or 5 games. -

This is easily the most laughable thing you have said about the NBA this yearsleeper;1731408 wrote:I've already forgotten his name. GSW is basically a 2-man show and if you shut down 1 of the 2 man show, the rest don't matter. -

The FW kiss of death. -
like_thatI am not saying the Cavs will get their asses kicked, but at this point GSW has to be the favorite with Love out. If the Cavs pull it off, they have to do it in 6.

Classyposter58Warriors in 6. Golden State is a much deeper team which should help them simply wear down the Cavs. Also defensively Shumpert and Irving will have a very tough time guarding Curry and Thompson who might be one of the best backcourt combos ever. Cleveland should kill GS on the boards though so second chance points could be a huge player. Should be an all time great series

Laley23Klay throwing up all night...but they didn't feel the need to put him through concussion tests. What a fucking joke. Seriously risking a players career in a series you're up 3-1...

I don't think he should have gone back in but I also think it's poor analysis to analogize a player going back into a basketball game with a football player going back in.
Basketball concussions and football concussions are different; not in the physical damage to the brain but in the chances of re-aggravating or sustaining another one. -
robj55The Rockets play little to no D and aren't anywhere near the Cavs level of play in this post season and they had a chance to win 4 of those games in the GS series, bolds well for the Cavs. The Cavs won't let Curry get 10 plus uncontested looks a game like the Rockets did, they also won't get beat on the glass like the Rockets did either.

BUT, if a player is concussed, aren't they more likely to reinjure it? I honestly don't know, but feel that not monitoring it is dangerous (like letting someone pass out from one).lhslep134;1731459 wrote:I don't think he should have gone back in but I also think it's poor analysis to analogize a player going back into a basketball game with a football player going back in.

Point is, had they diagnosed it, he doesn't play. Had they run the tests, they diagnos it. It was a total fail by GSW medical staff. In football, you arguably should retire after a bad one. In basketball, definitely not the case, so I agree with you in that sense. But, in no sport, should you re-enter 5 minutes later... -

Yes. But my point is that your language of "career ending" doesn't really account for the fact that basketball players have a much lower chance of head trauma than football players, so the chance of him re-injuring it is significantly less.Laley23;1731462 wrote:BUT, if a player is concussed, aren't they more likely to reinjure it?
I agree with your general premise that if there is any non-zero chance of re-injury, i.e. he has a concussion, he shouldn't return. -

Ahhh, ok. Yeah, I agree with that.lhslep134;1731464 wrote:Yes. But my point is that your language of "career ending" doesn't really account for the fact that basketball players have a much lower chance of head trauma than football players, so the chance of him re-injuring it is significantly less.
