big difference between being successful and horrible to the extent that the coaching staff reverts to doing whatever they can to keep him off of the field.

Knee jerk reaction to put gilbert in the top 10, especially above some of the guys you listed. Also, I hate braylon, but he did make the pro bowl one year. He doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. Where is Weeden?!?
  • iclfan2
You will probably be able to put Josh Gordon on that list soon. Trich for sure. No way Gilbert can be considered a bust at all. Jury is still out on Mingo as well. Weeden?
  • SportsAndLady
Weeden could be number one for me lol if only because everyone in the fucking world knew he would be a bust, except for our front office

In terms of rookie CBs? I'd say not as much as you think. Corners thrown into the fire usually do the worst of any other position from a rookie perspective, quarterbacks excluded.

    1) Courtney Brown #1
    2) Trent Richardson #3
    3) Gerard Warren #3
    4) William Green #16
    5) Justin Glibert #8
    6) Brian Robiskie 2nd
    7) David Veikune 2nd
    8) Johnny Manziel #22
    9) Braylon Edwards #3
    10) Greg Little 2nd
As a matter of logic: how can you have Manziel up there, who at least has the potential to deliver value to the franchise, and not have Weeden, who actually delivered 0 value?

I'd say Weeden, Quinn and "current-Manziel" would all be even. QBs drafted in the lower stages of the first round who contributed nothing (or "nothing so far" in Johnny's case). Either way, I think it's a bit premature to list a guy currently on the team who still has a chance to contribute going forward as a "worst ever" pick.

    That's all I'm saying

Not calling Gilbert a bust at all, I'm sure if he gets his act together he will turn out to be worthy of the pick. Just will not back down that his first year was disappointing.

Also, if you are going to use the rookie thing to keep Gilbert off the list (which I have no problem with), I have trouble agreeing with putting Manziel on there with a 1.25 game sample size (though he couldn't have looked worse against Cinci). Pretty uncommon for rookie QBs to light it up as well. Sample size way too small to list him IMO.

Also def agree with lhs that Weeden most definitely should be on there.

I think we all agree it's stupid to have a player on a bust list after his rookie season.

I PREDICT manziel will be a bust. I PREDICT Gilbert will be a really good player for Cleveland.

i was looking at at #3 bust versus a #22 bust.

About Gilbert, but what about Manziel/Weeden?

IMO, in the end Weeden will have a better pro career with more starts.

@AdamSchefter: Browns WR Josh Gordon flunked another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year banishment, per league sources. More on ESPN @ 6 pm.

Ok Worst Browns Draft Picks since '99:

    1. Weeden
    2. Gerrard Warren
    3. Trich (DGAF that we got a first)
    4. Phil Taylor (I LOVE me some Phil Taylor. But by trading down we let this FA draft Weeden, Trich and gave up opportunity to draft the best player in the NFL in JJ Watt. )
    5. Manziel (I'm convinced, he prob wont even be on this team come game 1)
    6. Courtney Brown (Don't fault the pick, he was a beast in college with no injury history. He was however made of glass)
    7. David Veikune
    8. Robo
    9. Montario Hurtesy
    10. Beau Bell
