2015 Browns Offseason Thread

like_thatI wish you guys could experience the Redskins announcers. Clinton Portis is a sideline reporter and he is god awful and the announcers are complimenting Shaun lavuauo for being a good NFL guard [emoji23].

friendfromlowryIf any of you are applying for the new administrator gig you have my vote if you ban Iggy.

I'm in Virginia and am getting the Clinton Portis experience tonight. It's been amazing.like_that;1745775 wrote:I wish you guys could experience the Redskins announcers. Such a cesspool of misery. Assclown probably kicks puppies and pisses on children on his way to work.friendfromlowry;1745778 wrote:If any of you are applying for the new administrator gig you have my vote if you ban Iggy.
And S&L, my previous comments about Iggy being "delusional" about JFF was his quote about "starting Johnny, sink or swim." No head coach in his right mind is going to dive on that grenade, with the possibility of losing his job, unless the team is a) an expansion team or b) a horrible team in rebuilding mode (see Colts/Andrew Luck), especially if he feels McCown is the better option. Iggy was suggesting starting Manziel regardless of which QB was better. Now most of us would like to see that happen so we knew where the QB situation was but coaches think a bit differently than fans.
I know it's preseason but, so far, across the board, this "revamped" run defense didn't look all that revamped. And smh at Gilbert. Giving you guys the benefit of the doubt on him not being a "bust" but he did himself no favors last night. -

Over the top stupidity, with no reading comprehension, brought to you by Durkie...per usual. The run defense and O-Line looked like shit (both in pass protection and in run blocking but that should improve when JT returns) but it was the FIRST preseason game but, as usual, you'll interpret it how you like as if it was a "the sky is falling" type post. It's not.DeyDurkie5;1745806 wrote:Overreaction Friday brought you by BR
It's pretty sad that I have to preface my statements with things like "I know it's preseason" and you still don't get it. Derp. -

MontyBrunswickI thought the Browns looked excellent. No way they don't make the playoffs this year. Mccown is back to true form and will lead them to at least 8 victories by himself.

I disagree with that. Even if he did play flawless, that type of play to garçon is what costs a whole game.bases_loaded;1745804 wrote:@RuiterWrongFAN: "That was a bad play (getting beat deep by Garcon) and the rest of the game was flawless for me. It was just the one play." - Justin Gilbert

He got burnt by Garcon twice for what would have been TD's had Garcon not dropped the ball, correct?like_that;1745826 wrote:I disagree with that. Even if he did play flawless, that type of play to garçon is what costs a whole game. -

I recall getting burnt for a deep ball, and pretty much fucking up in the redzone too. He did not play well. I'm waiting on the PFF grades, but I'm willing to bet he graded out the worst.BR1986FB;1745827 wrote:He got burnt by Garcon twice for what would have been TD's had Garcon not dropped the ball, correct?
Even if he was flawless that one play is the type of play and reason why losing teams always lose. Play perfect all game except one mental lapse. There isn't much room for error in the NFL regardless who you play. -

One of the guys on 92.3 was saying this morning he played so bad that he won't make the team. I think that's a little over the top because I can't see Pettine/Farmer giving up on somebody that quickly. I think he'll at least get to play out his rookie contract.like_that;1745829 wrote:I recall getting burnt for a deep ball, and pretty much fucking up in the redzone too. He did not play well. Until you stop reporting back to the OC every time someone says something stupid on the radio, people here are going to keep ragging on you for overreactions.BR1986FB;1745831 wrote:One of the guys on 92.3... -

Even though on a weekly basis you hear him post, "according to the guys on 92.3..." -

iclfan2If you guys don't see an issue with Gilbert, you're watching a different sport. His attitude alone (saying he played flawless) is scary. Dude needs to be humbled and work harder. Many people thought he was a reach, and so far he is proving them correct.
I agree to give him 3 years, but you still need to worry about the kid.

Hope he's just having a rough time adjusting to the NFL (like most college CB's do), but right now it's not looking good. -

Why afraid to label him a bust? I think he already is and I don't expect that to change.SportsAndLady;1745849 wrote:Definitely.

like_thatHe was the worst graded defender on the Browns defense FYI.
