Kyrie also had to play with that bum Waiters for several of those years, and play under Mike Brown.

I think Kyrie is a gamer, and won't really be phased by the playoffs. He has performed pretty well in clutch situations since his rookie year. You could tell during the blazers game that the dude has ice in his veins.

Kyrie also in the Oly was awesome. Love wasn't.

Technically, Kyrie has never been in the Olympics, Love was, and averaged 12/8

In the FIBA tourney Kyrie averaged 12-3-4.

It's a different ballgame come playoff time, and this will be Love's first playoff appearance so I'm not confident he will be able to sustain 17 and 10 but we shall see.
care to make a bet on his playoff averages?

Neither has 90% of the league as stars.

If anything his rebounding prowess/ability alone in the playoffs will be crucial, especially when the game slows down.

They've at least made the playoffs

Well to be fair, Kevin Love had exactly 0 above average teammates during that time.

Sure but these 90% other stars aren't asking for a max contract as the third option.

Doesn't matter what option he is, Love is a max player and he proved it in Minnesota. A lot of people are getting undeserved contracts, just what the market dictates right now.

    Rubio, Martin, and Pekovic disagree.

Then he should leave. Cavs are stupid to pay him a max deal.

But apparently you have no idea what a salary cap is nor do you care about its implications.

The cap is going up by a considerable margin soon.

    So do max deals.

Yeah, I'm the biggest Kevin Martin fan on this board by far, and that's a stretch. He's a good scorer, that's about it, but his best days are behind him.

Rubio, can't score at all, and in his only full season as a 4 year pro he averaged 9 pts and 9 Asst. He might be the best of the bunch, but not enough to put them close.

And Pekovic has yet to play more than 62 games in a season. If we're gonna knock Wade down from Top 25, for not being healthy, Pek has to slide to average for same reason.

Last season was only season with all 3 guys you mentioned, and they finished 40-42. which would've qualified them for the playoffs in the east.

I hate to be the only guy fighting the K.Love battle, along side rob, but you guys are definitely underrating how good a player Love actually is for the Cavs, and was for the Wolves.

His supporting cast compared to those other players I listed is a joke and not even close in terms of talent.

For the Cavs to win it all, Love has to elevate his game to the level he played at when he was with Minnesota. Not talking about 26 points per game, but a much higher shooting percentage. There is no reason that his rebounds per game are down this year either.

SMH at the "2 stars and a bunch of role players" baloney. I wouldn't call DJ a "role player". Bill Walton was in his prime and he didn't even start for that great Celtics team in the mid 80's. Or Worthy, Perkins...the list goes on.

Jordan doesn't win shit without, Rodman. Horace Grant, Cartright, BJ Armstrong and John Paxson.

It takes a a team that runs 8 deep to win it all.

I think love is a great player, but has some legit flaws. He's not an all NBA or HoF type player imo.

As for Martin, the SG position is abysmal in the NBA. He's prop a top half SG in the association BC or this. . Haven't run the numbers but off top of my head id take klay, harden, beal, wiggins as the only for sure SGs Id take over him. After that it's all about what team I'm building.

This I agree with, for now. He's only 26, and still early in his NBA career. He's a good scorer, a great rebounder, and a great passer for a big man, but he's not all-NBA or HOF yet. There's definitely some work to be done on that front.

As for this, I'd also take Butler, Bledsoe, Hayward, Ellis, Matthews, and probably Korver over him (he at least plays defense).

Almost every All NBA player has flaws, there are very few complete players in the NBA. He's been All NBA quite a few times I believe.
