You said he is the worst athlete in the league. He isnt, and he is a tremendous athlete. I think he is a lazy player...which makes him appear to be a worse athlete.

Comparative to other NBA players he is one of the worse athletes in the league, but he is a tremendous player that understands how to use his skills and body to be one of the best PF's in the league. I'm a huge Kevin Love fan btw.

Off the top of my head, guys who appear to be worse or even athletes to Love at the PF spot:

    -Diaw
    -Dirk
    -Pau
    -Z-Bo
    -Duncan
    -Sully
    -Scola
    -Aldridge

Im sure there are others. You are really not giving him enough credit as an athlete.

Yeah but Diaw can guard every player in the league and score at will when I watch. A little better than LeBron

Love again, missing wide open shots. Decent first quarter, would be nice to see him make some shots though.

Honestly the Cavs just need a freaking coach or somebody to say I've had enough of this and go into f you mode. No way should a team with Kyrie Irving, Lebron James and Kevin Love not be at least a #2 seed heading into the playoffs. Jesus I mean come on, those guys should be such a spacing nightmare for opponents
  • Lovejoy1984
Coach can't make Kevin Love make wide open shots, or Lebron make free throws. For that matter, he can't make them play defense, players have to want to do it.

Spacing isn't an issue, they are getting open looks every single game, shots aren't falling. Not a single coach in the history of mankind can make them, make wide open shots.

I read love had back issues tonight.

Cavs will make the playoffs but they aren't going to win a championship with this team. It seems the effort just isn't there and that's on Lebron and Blatt.
  • Pick6
Effort was a lot better last night. Everything was a lot better except shooting, which is really out of Blatt's hands.

Wasn't able to watch the game last night, sounds like it was pretty much the LeBron show? Hopefully, he's healthy and ready to make a long run at this thing!
  • Laley23
LeBron was in attack mode, I cant be stopped mode all night.

Kyrie was a show on the offensive end at times, and JR was pretty good. He is such a better compliment than Dion, even if they both are "black holes"...because JR at least stretches the D and can knock down the 3 ball.

I've said all along that he was an upgrade instantly by stepping on the floor, because he plays D, and then he also has to be guarded as soon as he steps over half court. He can knock down threes from just about anywhere!

I'd beg to differ. This is the kind of crap that trickles down from the top...this is not effort. This isn't a rare occurance either, it's been happening constantly with him this whole season. He rarely hustles or plays hard on defense, no rotation, his man beats him constantly. I'm sure I'll get bashed for this, but it's the truth. Maybe he played like this in Miami, but this is how you are a .500 team.

Maybe the effort isn't where it needs to be. The vid obviously shows that. I'll still argue that what I saw last night was better than anything we saw before Lebron's vacation. I'd say they are a .500 team because of Lebron missing two weeks, other injuries, and have new pieces they are adjusting to. Still have a long way to go though.

First of all, let me tell you that I AGREE COMPLETELY that the defensive effort is nowhere close to where it needs to be. However, in that clip, it kind of looks like Kyrie is going to take Johnson in the corner and then decides he'd be too late. Defensively, you always defend the basket before the perimeter, so if LeBron thought Kyrie was taking Johnson, then he was right to stay and defend the hoop/baseline.
  • Laley23
I actually watched that live and when Wes was wide open and LeBron took a step and then I saw Kyrie sprinting in I thought they were gonna injure each other when they collided. I think they BOTH thought that and pulled up, making it look like 0 effort.
  • Ironman92
I still say Kyrie is playing way harder and I like his current effort.

LeBron looks ready to play....good energy level, though I'm 100% against LeBron driving the baseline and kicking to Marion for wild 3's.

Allowing Redick back to back open 3's can't happen
  • Pick6
Watching again tonight, there is no question this team has taken it to another level effort wise.
  • Ironman92
Lax effort on getting to Redick the last 4 min of the half is the difference.

Way better energy....I wish we had someone other than Della to give minutes
  • SportsAndLady
Mozgov's fourth foul was a horrible call

And how about a fucking defensive rebound in this third quarter?

    Kyrie hard to stop
