Lebron is going to steam roll him anyway and make Draymond give back the second place finish in DPOY. The stomp will be so bad and I cannot wait to see the look on Draymond's face as Lebron throws the hammer down time and time again.Commander of Awesome;1731871 wrote:I dgaf, but I hope LBJ gaf and remembers this when he's about to steamroll him. -

Kobe sucks, Rondo on the decline, Towns/Okafor/Randle are all question marks with less potential than Wiggins ever had. That team would blow dick.Azubuike24;1731857 wrote:He's probably being sold that LA can get Rondo, Towns/Okafor, Randle back and Kobe for another year and make a really short-term run at at. I don't think he should go, but I wouldn't also dismiss that they can't win. Better chance at winning than Cleveland? No way. But egos are always involved. -
sleeperThe reality is Cleveland should win the championship. I wouldn't bet against Lebron James in the NBA finals, especially since the opposing team is not the Spurs.

Azubuike24Every prospect in the last decade outside of maybe Anthony Davis had less upside than Andrew Wiggins. That's not a slight on any of those guys. And I never said the team would be good. However, we were trying to speculate what Love is being sold...and it's probably something similar to that.
I would agree, Kobe is a big question mark. However, even Kobe at age 38, just being on the floor, doesn't suck.
Rondo isn't necessarily on the decline, but he is what he is and you have to wonder how much leeway a team is going to give him. He's proven he isn't an elite leader and that makes it tough to give him the reigns to a team full-time.
Randle, Towns and Okafor will all pretty much be brand new. All will be rookies and inexperienced. -

Disagree. Kobe at 38 blows; Rondo is useless, and the other 3 are unproven rookies who won't win anything for the next 3 years minimum. Love would be straight retarded to sign there.Azubuike24;1731983 wrote:Every prospect in the last decade outside of maybe Anthony Davis had less upside than Andrew Wiggins. Azubuike24I would agree. A smart free agent wouldn't consider it unless it was a money thing. Love will get the same money regardless, whether it's FA or sign/trade.

Only if Cleveland is involved.Azubuike24;1731987 wrote:I would agree. A smart free agent wouldn't consider it unless it was a money thing. Love will get the same money regardless, whether it's FA or sign/trade. -
Azubuike24Well, if he planned on leaving, wouldn't it make sense that Cleveland sign him to the extension and then trade him? You would think they would do each other the courtesy there as it would benefit both (more money for Love, something in return for CLE)?

IF, BIG IF, Love decides to leave(he won't btw), but IF, then the Cavs would be straight retarded to let him walk in free agency.Azubuike24;1732072 wrote:Well, if he planned on leaving, wouldn't it make sense that Cleveland sign him to the extension and then trade him? sleeperEven when Lebron left Cleveland, Dan Gilbert still cooperated and got 2 first round picks out of it. Yes, terrible trade for the Cavs but it's still gave them some assets to play around with.

Azubuike24Wolves considering D. Russell #1 and willing to move Rubio? Huh?

Not surprised you're shocked Russell is in consideration to be drafted over Towns.Azubuike24;1732215 wrote:Wolves considering D. Russell #1 and willing to move Rubio? Huh?
The Wolves already have a rim protector in Dieng. If you take a closer look, Rubio's shooting woes will eventually strangle the offense when the Wolves make the playoffs (see Rondo's Mavericks whose offense took a nosedive with Rondo in charge).
I still think the Wolves go big, but I would not be shocked to see them draft arguably the best playmaker available. -
SportsAndLadyTowns won't even be first. It'll be okafor. If they shock the world and take someone else, it will be D Russell not towns.
My opinion of course.

sleeperNot sure why Towns is even being considered for 1st overall pick. It's Okafor and Russell if you want the best players in the draft; Towns is just another bust waiting to happen.
-
Laley23Towns is better than Okafor IMO, but I've said all along Id take Russell. That kid is a superstar waiting to happen. All around playmaker. At #1, give me the guy who will dominate the ball, to pair with Wiggins.
-
Azubuike24This isn't even a Towns vs anyone debate. If I'm the Wolves, I'd take Okafor then. Dangling Rubio out there is almost saying he's not going to cut it, but trying to trade him at the same time to draft another PG?
As for Okafor and Towns, it's splitting hairs. I mean, how can you say one isn't a bust and the other is? Based on what?
Okafor and Towns aren't being considered for the #1 pick because they are rim protectors. Both are potential dominant scoring big men on the offensive end. Dieng won't ever be that. -

Could the success of GS, and Curry, sway a team to get Russel instead of a big man?Laley23;1732238 wrote:Towns is better than Okafor IMO, but I've said all along Id take Russell. The point is that Rubio doesn't cut it.Azubuike24;1732240 wrote: Dangling Rubio out there is almost saying he's not going to cut it, but trying to trade him at the same time to draft another PG? -
Azubuike24Russell COULD be Steph Curry. Russell COULD be James Harden. Are both worth the #1 pick?
-

On a team with Wiggins and Russell you wouldn't need Dieng to be a dominant scorer, you would only need him to be functional in the post.Azubuike24;1732240 wrote: Both are potential dominant scoring big men on the offensive end. Dieng won't ever be that. -

I think with the way the NBA is now, the answer is yes.Azubuike24;1732247 wrote:Russell COULD be Steph Curry. Russell COULD be James Harden. Are both worth the #1 pick? -

If Russell is James Harden he's not a lotto pick. If Russell is Curry he is absolutely the #1 pick.Azubuike24;1732247 wrote:Russell COULD be Steph Curry. Russell COULD be James Harden. Are both worth the #1 pick? -
Azubuike24I'd agree, yet you would get many, many folks in this thread alone who have said Harden just isn't good enough to get to the very top. When talking #1 pick, those have to be your expectations, right?
With the way the NBA is now, it's hard to put any big man in that category, but that doesn't making finding one of the top 3 or 5 big men in the league any easier of an achievement.
The number of big men who can still be dominant scorers in the league now is down counting them on one hand. -

With the exception of AD, any Kentucky prospect is instantly a bust until proven otherwise. Towns isn't AD nor will he ever be so by that formula he sucks and he's a bust.Azubuike24;1732240 wrote:This isn't even a Towns vs anyone debate. If I'm the Wolves, I'd take Okafor then.
