    These.

I hate everything that the Clippers are. But they were the better team that series. Hard to say with them playing the Spurs though.

Looking ahead, the Spurs are done. Manu, TD, and TP all could(and probably will) retire. They are going to have to land a big time free agent. But I see them kind of just disappearing like the Bulls after MJ retired the 2nd time.

Spurs lost the series by going away from the Hack-A-Dre in game 6. The Clippers wised up to this last night and took it out of play, despite the Spurs getting up to a 6-point lead at one point. San Antonio hit almost every clutch shot and grabbed numerous offensive boards where the Clips could've made a run.

Major props to the LAC, who looked like the best team the latter half of the series. It was a true "end of an era" moment for the Spurs. My only fear is that the Clips may not be able to sustain the same against Houston.

Wiz come from 10 down to win game 1 in Atlanta, 104-98.

Looks like Steph Curry is MVP.

    Thanks. Feels good.

The only player in the league who's even close is Lebron James but I think the NBA world is tired of handing the best player in the game an MVP trophy. Curry earned it, should be close to unanimous actually.

COA too bad you didn't take the bet, I thought it would be closer. Harden still finished 2nd though

Think there was a year or two that this happened to Jordan where maybe he didnt have one of his best years but was still the best in the league and they gave it to someone else....

It's already happened to Lebron. Remember when Rose won it? LOL

Jordan went 33.6 ppg, 6.3 apg, 6.9 rpg in 1989-90 and didn't win MVP. Magic won it with 22.5 ppg, 11.3 apg and 8.1 rpg (Jordan won it the year before 32.5, 8, 8)
Jordan went 32.6, 5.5 apg, 5.0 rpg in 1992-93 and didn't win MVP. Barkley won it with 25.6 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 5.1 apg (Jordan won it the year before and retired the 2 years after)
Jordan went 29.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 4.3 apg in 1996-97 and didn't win MVP. Malone won it with 27.4 ppg, 9.9 rpg and 4.5 apg (Jordan won it the year before and year after)

In theory, from 1986-87 to 1997-98, MJ could've won it every year.

Props for being a man and admitting you were wrong.....way too many people on here, or other boards in general won't admit it, they'll try to put a spin on it.

Also, when does the LBJ curse kick in, is it next year or will it be during the playoffs?

I pretty much always admit when I'm wrong (it would be imprudent to say I always do) which is why I take such strong stances and argue what is probably an excessive amount.

I hate when people spin when they're wrong because I deal with it all day at work.

Not so fast. Speaking of, it's funny to watch Big Baby run.

I was going to bed regardless....but threw a jinx on the Rockets first.

I might sit Paul out of game 2 now. That was a big win and several stepped up.

Main reason rockets have no chance at winning a title is McHale. terrible coach. (Also James harden worst 2 guard in the league...blah blah blah)

McHale isn't a horrible coach. You're just saying that because you have a boner for harden. The problem with the rockets is they have the talent to win a first round series but not to win anything significant.

I'm not actually sure if I've posted anything bad about McHale in the past (I think I have, not sure though) my opinion on him is based on his Minnesota days. God awful coach then and only looks better now because he has better players. Harden played like shit last night, needs to take more shots and stop lazily turning the ball over. Unless they upgrade at coach though, they'll never be true true title contenders.

They are terrible defensively, gave up 71 points in the second half to a team without CP3.
  • Lovejoy1984
Harden pouted last night because he didn't win the MVP. Apparently he was just happy getting out of the first round. (on his own team)
