    God Kenny Smith is annoying.

Shaq is spot on. It doesn't work. Even shooting as bad as he did, the strategy just isn't sound. You put your opposing team in the bonus (Paul got to shoot FTs on a common foul), put your players in foul trouble (even the non scrubs...) and you are giving up the chance to get a stop/transition buckets (the easiest points in the NBA are now non-existent for you offensively).

That fucking rule has got to go, Houston is so damn bad on defense that it's the only way that they can get a stop.

I cheer for Paul Pierce before I'd cheer for Harden

Clippers look like a team that is finals bound.
  • robj55
who was it that tried to tell me that Houston was a good defensive team based on advanced stats a few weeks ago? LOL

They're playing a sub par (in comparison to GWS/Grizzlies) team. I'm not impressed by them beating on the Rockets.

I was gonna add that, that it's hard to say for sure because they are playing a shit defensive team. They play a team that can actually defend it might be different, but they impressed the hell out of me against the Spurs.

I'm impressed by how easily they are beating Houston as it validates what they did to Spurs.

@AminESPN: Chris Paul might have just delivered the #hatehardapproved bomb of the year. Told the refs not to throw Dwight out, "we want him to play"

Didn't see what happened but I love trash talk like that, haha.

Agreed. Doesn't work. The only way it makes sense is if the game is within a few points and you need possessions towards the end of the game; like the college game.

I think it can work if you have a big lead, or need to extend the game. However, it can easily be mitigated if you just take the poor foul shooters out of the game.

    Rockets = joke

Agreed. The rockets are terrible and Dwight Howard is not good. Harden is about the only good player on the team but he's nothing special and isn't an MVP type player because he can't carry his team to success.

If you were ranking the top players in the league, how deep would you get before hitting a 2nd name from the east?
  • gport_tennis
Paul George would be high up there if healthy. Kyrie and love as well honestly.
  • Laley23
Yeah I would say Paul George would be near the top 5, pre injury. Kyrie and Love would be up in the top 10/15.

But no question the majority live in the West. No one on the #1/3/4/5 seeds would be up very high.

In an interesting move, the Pelicans fired Monty Williams...?

    Pelicans fire Monty Williams.
  • Azubuike24
    John Wall - 17.6 ppg, 10.0 apg, 4.6 rpg, 44.5% fg
    Chris Paul - 19.1 ppg, 10.2 apg, 4.6 rpg, 48.5% fg

Wall needs to improve his shooting and limit his turnovers a bit because he still has some stinker games every once in a while. I'd probably put him in top 15.

I agree. I think he's incredibly under-appreciated when discussing top talents in the league.

He did a decent job. They must have another candidate in mind?

  • Azubuike24

  • like_that
