Then you should have no problem with using TS%. But since you're averse to it, and the past hour and a half has been a fruitless attempt by everyone on here to get you to step out of the damn dark ages of stats, I now have to be done with this.

Coa, like_that, Laley, S&L, Sleeper, and others, can you keep up the advanced metric battle? I'm sick of repeating myself.

    Ill try again.

If someone shoots 38% from 3...they will be equal to Dwyane Wade from 2 (yes Rob, I took out the 3s he took and only counted the 2s) 57% in terms of points scored if they take the same amount of shots. Ill take the guy who shoots 38% from 3 and can space the floor a lot better.

This is all before we take into consideration that those players shoot better from 2 than Wade from 3, in the reverse portion of it.
    I get all of this.

I don't have a problem using it, just not going to use it as my MAIN argument. Because it doesn't take into account shot selection. Wade's percentage from the field is high because he gets the shots he wants and they are good shots for him. Shot selection is a part of shooting percentage whether or not anyone wants to admit it or not.

lol. What the fuck man? YOU SAID: "Second part has nothing to do with it, we are talking about last year, not moving forward." This validates YOUR position that Wade was a top 25 player last year and moving forward he is no longer a top 25 player. Now you are saving it is still to be determined. Did you graduate high school? Do you know what logic is and how to apply it?

Either Wade is a top 25 player now and moving forward or he is not a top 25 player. There is no difference in saying either statement. It's logically valid to say he WAS a top 25 player maybe a few years ago when he had 2 functioning knees but you cannot say he is a top 25 player NOW but not moving forward. Do you get it?

No it doesn't validate anything, you or I have no idea how he is going to play next year. Could maintain or could have a significant drop off. To be determined. All I know is what he was last year, and that's top 25. Based on what we saw last year he was top 25. I think you misreading what I am trying to say or I am doing a poor job of illustrating my point clearly.

    Yeah this is brutal.

    Anyways...

Melo is in LA meeting with the lakers and the Knicks.

Sounds about right for melo. Can't carry a team on his own, so might as well go to LA.

You are doing a poor job indeed. Apparently you are making value judgement on the future for other players but keeping Wade in your special TOP 25 PLAYER BOX NOW but not in the future. Which do you think is more relevant? What a player did 10 years ago or what a player can do today?

You think him and Kobe could have any type of chemistry?

As much as I've talked down about Melo(which is a lot), I honestly think LA would be a good spot. Pau has said he will re-sign if they land Melo and Kobe will be back, 100%. My only major concern would be who they are looking at for a coach(Byron Scott). I want nothing to do him as a coach.

I'm only making a value judgement on the most recent occurrence, the 2013-2014 NBA season, I mean what else could I base it on? That is what he can do today. Now if we are talking about guys who I want for the future from your list, entirely different outcome.

It's just much easier to call you a delusional idiot who's never picked up a basketball in his life rather than continue this argument.
  • Laley23
Melo needs to go to Chicago where the team is still good enough defensively to win 4 vs 5 on that end lol

Pretty sure I'm the best basketball player on here and its not even close. Just ask SAGE; he believes I could play in the NBA.

Anyways, I think Lebron signs a 3 year deal with Miami at Max contract levels and years 2 and 3 being player options. That gives Lebron the flexibility and money he is looking for and keeps the pressure on the Heat to replace Wade/Bosh with some actual talent.

Thabo Sefolosha has signed a 3 year, $12 mil deal with the Hawks.

Couldn't they all take back loaded deals or no?

No one else is fighting the fight because it's a stupid fight. You are so ignorant of basketball statistics it is ridiculous. And when you get too far behind you just tell people that they don't play basketball so they can't be knowledgable. I will dunk on your dumb ass.
