What does the future have to do with right now? You're talking about a completely different argument. I said name me 25 players based on 2013-2014 that are better than DWade. What you're saying is NOT what I said, not even close.

    Reading comprehension...

He's saying more effective than Wade at making 3s and less effective than him at making 2s.

Compared to your bullshit Wade argument. I'm discussing players that are more efficient at scoring than Wade (hence higher TS%) because while they may shoot less than 55% from the field, the fact that a 3 is worth more than a 2 makes up for it.

Your insistence on using shooting percentage rather than TS% necessarily means you have no regard for the difference between a field goal being worth 3 points and being worth 2 points. That, sir, is idiotic and shows a lack of knowledge, logic, and understanding.

There's 40. Do I need to keep going? I could name 150 players better than fucking Wade. He's garbage and he's the reason the Heat will never win another championship.
Bolded are no and LOL at some of those. Hibbert, Rondo, Deng Deandre Jordan, Carter Williams, Holiday, David Lee, Dragic, just lol. Keep grasping for straws man, terrible

    Yes.

PROTIP: If shooter A hits 40% of his 3s and shooter B hits 60% of his 2s and both shooters shoot 100 times, they've scored the same amount of points (assuming FTs aren't in the equation).

It's just a list. I'm not going to waste time nit picking if someone is #5 or #8. Don't give a fuck. Wade is not a top 50 player in this league and if he makes anything above $1M next year coming off the bench the Heat have 0% chance of winning a championship.

You mean the 66 shooting guards who didn't shoot 55% from the field while scoring at least 19 ppg?
  • Laley23
And, yeah, give me Steph Curry, who is a threat to score from anywhere, over Wade who has to be 5 feet inside the arc before you need to guard him. Dont care that curry didnt shoot 55%.

No they aren't more efficient, because if they were they would have learned how to get better shots and make them, that right there is efficiency my friend.

That's a poor argument because Wade does all his scoring in the paint. Mainly because he can't hit a jumper to save his life.

I had Curry as one of the ones who is better. Wade is an extremely good mid range jump shooter, always has been. Let's not act like Curry doesn't have deficiencies.

Plus if it was a ranking, Harden would be #26.

Curry has two functioning knees and has never shit the bed with the best player on the planet in the NBA finals.

No he doesn't he shoots it extremely well from mid range and the long two. Also the point of the game is to get the best shots available to have a higher chance of scoring, Wade understands that and does that. He doesn't need to shoot it 20-22 times a game to get his points and contribute.

Well, I was just saying it happens. I didnt bother looking. He was literally the 2nd players I googled.

EDIT: LOL just googled a 3rd player...Steph Curry did it last year. I am 2/3 on hunches. (Reggie Miller never did, who was first...also my favorite player so I was curious.)

For argument sake, I bolded the guys I don't think are as good as Wade. Many are still improving though. Wade's ability is decreasing, and the fact that he is very injury prone devalues him.

Wade averaged 15 ppg in the finals, let's see Curry even get there and win a ring. Wade is the third best SG of all time. Oh and Curry doesn't have bad knees he has shit ankles.
  • Laley23
If we really want efficient, we need to look at points per shot...

Here's the definition of true shooting from basketball-reference. I will bold the word that you have definitively shown you have no idea what it means:
True shooting percentage is a measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws
