Huh? What did I say? It's asinine to not give OB credit.

    What are you talking about?

OB kind of laid out that letter for us months and months ago. He even hinted it was possible BEFORE the season started. To not give him credit is ridiculous, imo. It wasnt shit spewed against the wall. Its pretty clear it was info coming from Maverick and LeBrons boys.

    Reverse Jinx

It's not that he called LBJ coming back, it's that he came to that conclusion using LRMR sources that were disregarded on here.

Oh okay gotcha now, my bad I forgot about the reverse jinx. I guess my point still stands though that I think it's ridiculous you won't give OB (or at least his sources) credit.

Yeah, let's not act like firing Mike Brown, getting the #1 pick, and the Heat losing in the finals had nothing to do with it.

Also, how is this any different then OB1...other than it being incorrect.

You really think he wasnt coming to the Cavs no matter what? So, we are not ignoring word for word what LBJ himself is saying?

Sure, he might be lying. But, come on.

Had to reverse jinx it. Hope this helps.

Right. It was a perfect storm of his people reaching out early enough to get the wheels spinning, Heat looking not only beatable but unsustainable, and Cavs' situation very lucky and fluid (I mean 3/4 #1's?).

Who cares though, WE HAVE LEBRON AHHHHHHHHHH

    .
I don't think you can unequivocally say one or or another what he would have done, it's somewhere in between. JMO

Im all about the reverse jinx, but thats not what you were doing. At least not the whole time.

I would say 0% chance LeBron leaves instead of going for 4 straight, yes. I also haven't seen a single quote of him saying he was coming back "no matter what".

I agree. But I will give someone the benefit of the doubt next time when their "scenario" played out about 100% to what he predicted 6 months ago.

Reps for acknowledging a reverse jinx.

I was chest thumping for sure. But it was mostly because I have been drunk for the last 48 hours due to sheer happiness. Nothing was guaranteed when it came to Lebron, but I certainly didnt think Maverick would lie to us, he had said he genuinely has wanted to come back for a while.

Regardless. Now it's a matter of getting Love without giving up Wiggins.

Had nothing to do with these. Lebron was coming home regardless. Read the essay...he listed the reasons

I give OB credit, but I definitely remember him saying this past season that the chances of Bron coming back weren't looking good. I seem to remember the storyline being: He's interested-> more than likely not going to happen -> he's interested.

This is what I recall as well.

Deng rumored to be favoring Miami. We should get their first round pick next year, as they are definitely a playoff team.
  • slingshot4ever
Everything I read talks about us having 3 1st round picks next year. Outside of their own and Miami's, who else's do we have the rights to??

Memphis' protected 1-5 and 15-20. Gotta root for Memphis to miss the playoffs and not win the lottery.

Here's a comprehensive list of teams and their future picks

6th, 14th, and 30th picks sounds about right.
