I see what you did there. I think Miami's is only top 10 protected, though, so lets change that 14 to 11.

If Cleveland doesn't make any major moves(basically meaning we don't trade for Love, keep all our quality young guys) this season, what do you see their ceiling and floor being?

Ceiling: I'd say there's an outside chance to win the East if everything falls correctly - Rose and Gasol never regain their form, the Pacers continue their collapse, Wizards and Raptors don't sustain their growth, etc.

Floor: A 2nd round playoff exit?

I will be upset with anything other than an NBA title

We have the best player in the world and another all star with a good coach and supporting cast. What else could you ask for?

I'll be happy with a deep playoff run and seeing more growth out of Kyrie and the young guys. Time for kyrie to grow up and earn that max money

That seems about right to me, but I don't think all of the things you listed are necessary for this team to win the east. Not too worried about the Wizards or Raptors.

As much as I want to burn the Flats to the ground in the event that does happen, I just don't see us being ready to win the title this year if we keep the roster as is. I think the Spurs, OKC, and Clippers make short work of us in the finals if we get there this season.

Not endorsing a Love trade necessarily, just think we're looking at maybe 2 or 3 years before we're title contenders while we wait for our guys to develop and get playoff experience if we keep the roster as is.

As is this Cleveland team is not a championship club

The more I think about it, the more I want to also try and extract Gorgui Dieng from Minnesota if we trade for Love. He showed a ton of promise once he finally got playing time at the end of last year and would be a useful rim protector, something we don't have. Unfortunately, I doubt it's possible to get both without giving up a ton.

The Heat and Spurs were both better than this year's Cavs team. Without Love, they are good team but not great. They are a year away

Thanks for giving your opinion on the matter. An opinion that no one here cares about or respects. Lol
  • SportsAndLady
Not to mention you gave an opinion that you are using as fact to "counter" my own expectations on the upcoming year. lol you really are a dipshit jordo.

If Wiggins plays as well as people on here think he can I would be disappointed if we aren't at least involved in a game 7 of the ECF.

He's right. That team is not championship caliber as it is assembled and would get wiped in the Finals just like last time when the Spurs crushed em

Lebron will take all the pressure off Wiggins, he won't have to create much of anything on offense. Watching him though he needs to improve his handle and his long range consistency. He shoots a bit of a knuckle ball and misses bad at times.

    You're missing the point dumbass.

I gave my expectations and you idiots are arguing it. It's my expectations lol

Watching the first 2 Summer League games, Bennet isn't afraid to chuck it so far....made a couple DUMB shots at the end of the first game, but seems to be playing with more confidence.
  • Midstate01
    Bennett has looked very good.

Had a nice double double today, shot the ball well. Still have to take it with a grain of salt, isn't playing against best competition.

I'd be pissed if the Cavs don't at least win the East. They probably can't beat the Spurs but then again the Spurs at some point have to start showing their age.

This. If we're not a top 2 seed in this pathetic east it's because lbj was hurt. Should/would have been a top 4 seed last season if not for mr potato head as hc.

..and this year's Heat teams was wiped WORSE than those Cavs did in 07, but I didnt see anyone not calling them a championship caliber team lulz.

The Heat at least were able to win a game. And I didn't think Miami had a chance personally

Chicago will be tough this year. Pacers will probably lose Stephenson so they will fall back some. It'll come down to Cleveland and Chicago which Cleveland can beat. Are they good enough to win it all? Probably not unless they grow a lot.

Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO 6m LeBron James continuing recruiting efforts of Ray Allen, but Allen still undecided on if he'll play again. If so, you can bet it'll be Cavs.

I'm indifferent on Allen. I guess it would be nice to have his shooting in the playoffs, but besides that I don't really care.
  • ZWICK 4 PREZ
Any one feel Cleveland would be better off long term to not trade for Love? Yeah you'll have to pay him more next year, but I don't want to lose the guys for him.
