    Duncan
    Pts - 15
    Reb - 10
    Ast - 2
    FG % 490

    Cousins
    Pts - 23
    Reb - 12
    Ast - 3
    FG % - .500

What is Cousins doing that is counter-productive to winning when compared with Duncan? Other than being on a team with shit teammates and a sub par coach?

Duncan is the best PF of all-time, but Cousins is better at this moment. No real debating that to anyone that's watched both play this past season.

FIFY. People forget all the years Duncan played Center after the Admiral left. He even played Center quite a bit this past season with Splitter on the bench. He was skilled enough to play both, and played both quite a bit.Maybe just call him a big?

    True

Don't want my argument to seem like I'm detracting from Duncan at all. He's the best PF ever, and to be as effective as he is at his age is possibly his greatest accomplishment of all. But I think the fact the Spurs really don't have a single player I'd classify as a "star" makes their success all the more impressive, and diminshes the argument that super teams are necessary because you can't win without multiple "stars" in today's NBA.

You seriously dont consider Parker a star?

This is a Cavs thread, DGAF about Tim Duncan in here.

Buddy of mine said he thinks Cavs go after Gordan Hayward from Utah to play the 2/3 with Wiggins playing the other postion and Dion going to the bench. Depending on the contract, I wouldn't QQ.

I think you have to start considering a lot of PG's stars if Parker is one.

Even so, that would give them one "star" not multiple.

Gordan Hayward will get a max or close to Max deal
  • lhslep134
Demarcus Cousins is a star, he made that clear with his play this year.

A max for him? Yikes. Good player, but don't think he's worth a max. Maybe I'm wrong though, barely watched any Jazz games this past season.

Parker is a star PG. A good amount of PG's are stars.

Ginobili is also a star, he's arguably the 2nd best SG in the game.

He's a lesser Joe Johnson. Two teams (PHX and ATL) have moved JJ because he wasn't truly worth max money. No thanks on Gordon if he wants the max.

Harden, Kobe, Klay Thompson, Beal were 4 SGs off the top of my head I'd rather have then Ginobili.

I would love Gordon Hayward in Cleveland. I think he's a stud. He was on my fantasy team so I watched quite a bit of jazz games last year.
  • Mulva
Hayward is restricted. A deal is going to have to be close to max for there to be any chance of Utah not matching.

Wow, 2 conflicting reports. Rob won't know which position to take now. I'll wait for my judgement on Hayward until I hear from Robdynasty1998, God's gift to the OC NBA threads.
  • Laley23
Gordon is going to get a max from Boston, if nowhere else. Im pretty sure Brad Stevens has said he really wants to team back up with Hayward.
  • Commander of Awesome
Well alright, Hayward won't be coming to Cleveland sounds like. Fun thought for the 3 min it lasted.

Nothings really conflicting, a lesser Joe Johnson is still a really really good player lol. I like Heyward a lot, but not at max money.

Talking purely about production this past year, Ginobili was the 2nd best SG.

I like Hayward, you're welcome lol

    Wade sucks. Drop it.

haha 42% from the field vs 55%, you guys are hilarious.
  • Azubuike24
Beal's allure is that he's got star potential and is only 21. With that said, Wade put up better numbers in every category. Oh, and this is maybe the first thread someone else brought up DeMarcus Cousins!

His jaw has gotta get sore at some point. But wtf does this hafta do with the cavs?
