That's essentially what has to happen for them all to stay in Miami.

Didn't watch a whole lot of hoops last year but Wich State was intriguing. Undefeated is undefeated. Watched Early in a few games and the guy did a Michael Jordan impersonation every time I watched. He single handedly kept them in the game against Kentucky. Inside, outside. defense. Did it all.

Connected for almost 38% from 3 land and 48.4% overall. Made 85% of his free throws too. Added 6 boards per game. Don't really understand how the basketball know it alls grade these players.

Its a pretty good analogy if you watched him in the tournament.

Someone should send a case of Preparation H over to RCF right now because the amount of inflamed anal cavities right now is like nothing I have ever seen with Windy reporting that Lebron is basically going back to the Heat.

I thought we were delusional on this board, but those people were convinced Lebron was in the bag and Love was not far behind.

There are still a few true believers that will still believe Lebron is coming back even when he is in a Heat uniform opening night next year, but I am happy this song and dance is close to being over so that the city can finally get on with worrying about building it's own team instead of holding back in the hopes Lebron comes back.

He is stupid to sign long term there. If Melo forms a big four there, their should be no legacy for James other than ruining the NBA.

Those super teams were mostly homegrown with non QQing pussies leaving the city that bent over backwards for them at the first sign at not getting their way.

If you go back in history that's not close to being completely true. Stars forced their way out, players forced out coaches. It happened back then and it happens now, it just wasn't widely reported then.

The only difference in players positioning themselves from he 1980s and today is the depth with which it's reported. Even in the early 90's players threatened to leave unless things improved. Jordan was prepared to leave Chicago until they got Pippen.

Not saying this isn't true, but got a link+what could Jordan have realistically done? What about Bird/Magic?

In the days before true free agency? QQ'd their way to forcing a trade. The only real free agency was when a team completely renounced your rights and I'm unsure if anyone QQ'd enough for that to actually happen.

As for the Jordan thing, I know I read or watched about it (may have been part of the NBA'S 1984 draft doc).

I don't have enough time to look up links for you so you'll either have to take my word or look it up yourself.

If it helps you dig up links, off the top of my head the Knicks and Rockets of the 80's come to mind. And smaller pieces of the Lakers or Celtics but I can't remember who.

Edit: something about Magic Johnson and Lakers ownership came to mind. Yep, he forced out Paul Westhead http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Johnson

I guess the bigger point of my post was that the players, while not nearly as much as today, still had some power over their employer. It's always been a stars league, and the stars have always had the power.

Not saying youre wrong, but sounds similar to Alex Mack's QQing with the Browns. Doesn't have a leg to stand on. Just STFU, suck it up and play for the browns. Same with Darelle Revis. He's a fucking POS that should be shunned by the league for being a bitch boy, but talent and annoyingness forced the trade to TB. He actually had zero leverage. His card to play was I'm going to be a fucking asshat QQ boy making me to look like a fucking sack of shit to hope I annoy myself out of NJ, which he did. Now he's on his third team in as many years, which I'd bet would have been the fate of LBitchJ if he didn't have the levaerage provided by the NBA CBA. Which is what I expect Jordan's, Magic's, etc.. leverage was. Which is nil.

No doubt, but the NBA is suffering from bending over backwards and letting the bitchboy Allen Iversens take them behind the woodshed. In the end, it's the fans who suffer.

I know some legit hardcore basketball fans who are totally checked out on the NBA and instead turned their attn to college ball bc of this horseshit collusion everyone be friends AAU BS going on. The NBA has no one to blame but themselves for allowing the inmates to run the asylum and instead of having legit great fans, they have dumbass jock chasing fans like Rob. No one respects them, they're a punch line, and further dilute the product the NBA used to be. Just sad.

Yeah it's definitely shitty, you really just need to hope for a superstar in the draft and then make sure the rest of your moves turn to gold. If you don't and you want to win, you either need to be a premier FA destination or collude.

The Thunder aren't the Thunder if they whiff on the RW and Harden picks. Concurrently, maybe Lebron doesn't leave in 2010* if we take Al Jefferson instead of Luke Jackson, don't trade our 1st for Jiri f'ing Welsch, etc.

*who are we kidding though, he made the plan to play with Bosh and Wade in or before 2008.

Or legt Carols User Looser Boozer go with a handhsake deal only to realize he's the fucking scum of the earth POS dirtbag with zero backbone/moral. Srsly wished we just continued to pay that fucking Piece of goddamn garbage the 2nd round minimum while he got hurt (had a slew of injuries) to play zero defense and out of the league in 3 yrs for being a bitch, then let him sign that huge that deal with Utah. Such a scumbag, would still love to nuttap him over that. He's got some fucking nerve to try and agure that the Cavs just let him out of his obviously shitty contract early without a wink handshake deal. Only for him to backstab us and sign with the Jazz. That's another spot where the NBA could have told him to GFH, but instead played penis flickers with the StarsCBA.

Why do I always have to be brought into this? lol I don't even have a favorite team I just like certain players. When Jason Williams was in the league I watched all his games because he was my favorite player, I'm just a fan of the game.

How exactly would the NBA fix this? They cant TELL players where to sign lol, theyve done everything they can with the Salary cap and the Luxury tax ect. But unless you want the NFL NBA MLB ect deciding where free agents go, theres no "fixing" it
