Delly went undrafted so of course he wasn't going to be on the list. If Ford and others thought so highly of him to be on a list like this, someone would have taken him.Commander of Awesome;1627510 wrote:lol I think it was.
I found it interesting that none of the Cavs picks made the list, No Irving, Waiters, TT, Delevedova, Bennett. Pretty pathetic considering the top picks we've had. Just shows how weak 2013, 2011 draft classes were. -
lhslep134
Why? I'd be more surprised to see someone on that list who the Cavs could have taken but didn't. But yeah, interesting to only see one person from 2011-2013 on there (AD)Commander of Awesome;1627510 wrote:

Commander of AwesomeNo Irving was a bit surprising. I would have him higher than Mayo for example. Also, notice Love isn't on that list.

LMAO, you most certaintly were not Rob. Jesus where do you come with this martyr bs? It's an Ohio sports forum, Oden played at OSU. Def weren't the only guy defending the pick.robj55;1627559 wrote:No I was basically the only guy defending him. -

True. I'm thinking Irving maybe because of the injury concern?Commander of Awesome;1627572 wrote:No Irving was a bit surprising. I would have him higher than Mayo for example. Also, notice Love isn't on that list. -

Detroit! No but I doubt he comes to Clevelandsleeper;1627481 wrote:I don't see Lebron going anywhere else besides Miami or Cleveland. No other team really makes much sense for him. -

From what I remember that's what it felt like. Someone pull up the posts they were fairly recent I believe.Commander of Awesome;1627574 wrote:LMAO, you most certaintly were not Rob. You sound silly rob, just stop.robj55;1618728 wrote:Greg Oden was the best big man prospect in how long? Had he been healthy he would have been a great pick. I sound silly? That's your opinion. You have your opinion and I respect that.SportsAndLady;1618730 wrote:Lol if Kevin durant is a can't miss superstar, why was he passed up? I just explained it, Oden was can't miss as well and the best big man prospect in forever. You see what he did to Florida's NBA front court?
Knew I wasn't making this up lolSportsAndLady;1618771 wrote:Yes, I am.
Lebron was absolutely in that "there is no chance he isn't a superstar" category.
Durant was not.
If he was, Portland has Durant right now. -

According to what you posted, NO ONE began arguing that.robj55;1627514 wrote:then people began arguing that obviously he wasn't because of how well Durant turned out. . -

To you as well: no one said Oden wasn't can't miss.SportsAndLady;1627507 wrote:Was it robj who told me on here Greg oden wasn't a "can't miss prospect" coming into the draft? Lol
The argument was you were saying Durant wasn't "can't miss" and rob saying he was. -

My point was Lebron was a can't miss prospect and was taken first. KD wasn't even taken first so he was obviously doubted by some.lhslep134;1627604 wrote:To you as well: no one said Oden wasn't can't miss.

Which really has nothing to do with this thread lol I thought that earlier argument was pertinent to this conversation but I was wrong.SportsAndLady;1627608 wrote:My point was Lebron was a can't miss prospect and was taken first. KD wasn't even taken first so he was obviously doubted by some. -

Well it was pertinent in that Robj was right and you were wrong lol, at least according to Ford. He had Durant over other can't miss prospects like AD and DRose.SportsAndLady;1627609 wrote:Which really has nothing to do with this thread lol I thought that earlier argument was pertinent to this conversation but I was wrong.
From Ford's article:
"In virtually any normal year, Kevin Durant would've been a unanimous choice for the No. 1 pick. He absolutely torched college teams as a freshman, averaging 25.8 points per game while shooting more than 40 percent from 3-point range. It's very rare to find such an elite scorer at his size. His highlight reel at Texas screamed "NBA superstar." There wasn't anywhere on the floor from which Durant couldn't score. Unfortunately for Durant, another freshman, Oden, also had declared for the draft. GMs, NBA scouts, draft experts and fans all debated loudly who should go No. 1, which was a remarkable thing considering the hype surrounding Oden." -

Pretty much what I was trying to say, just because a guy went number 2 doesn't mean he isn't a can't miss prospect, you can have more than one in a single draft. Oden was looked at as a better version of Bill Russell, had he not been hurt he would have been the best big man in the league.lhslep134;1627617 wrote:Well it was pertinent in that Robj was right and you were wrong lol, at least according to Ford. RotinajNo such thing as a can't miss.

I don't know about all that. -
SportsAndLadyYeah we probably need to quit with the Greg oden hype. I love the guy but even without the serious injuries I doubt he would have been an elite nba player.
-
Lovejoy1984Especially in this NBA. He'd be a vastly more athletic Roy Hibbert

I think he would have been top 10 NBA player if he could have been healthy. Better than dwight -
Lovejoy1984
So does Hibbert. My point stands. He's a back to the basket center, in the run and run some more NBA. He'd be a more athletic/better version of, Roy Hibbert.lhslep134;1627676 wrote:Wut? He had post moves for days -

Come on, top 10 player? That's absurd. There isn't a center in the top 10 in the NBA, Oden would be one of them? Come on.gport_tennis;1627677 wrote:http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1972299-greg-oden-signing-proving-to-be-right-call-for-miami-heat

Also I don't agree with that article you posted...not sure that will turn out to be a good signing for Miami. -

Wut? Hibbert has no post moves. He's awful on offense. Your point absolutely doesn't stand if one of its basic premises is to compare Oden's post game coming into the league to whatever you want to call Hibbert's post game, even now.HighRoller74;1627679 wrote:So does Hibbert. If you want to argue for the de-evolution of the importance of a center, fine, but Oden was extremely skilled on offense, much moreso than Hibbert.
