Lebron will play in Cleveland next year. Book it.

You have changed your stance on this.

I'm guessing his basis for that belief is the potential supporting cast in CLE vs. the supporting cast in Miami?

I would say about a month ago sleeper said there is no chance he comes. All of a sudden he loses and now he might come?

I'm sticking to what I predicted, which is there is no shot he comes. Frankly, he can go fuck himself.

I think he leaves Miami. It's pretty apparent Wade and Bosh have fallen off the map of relevancy. The appeal of playing with a young talented team of Irving, Embid/Wiggins/Parker, Waiters, Bennett(??), TT, Varejao, etc. is much better than what Miami has to offer. Unless Miami sells Lebron on bringing in better bench pieces and/or shipping off Bosh for someone that can do more than chuck up low percentage 3-point shots, there's no way he stays. Cleveland has to be at the top of his list of destinations if he chooses to leave.

I think there's a better shot at him coming now because: 1) the Cavs having ammunition to make moves; 2) #1 pick, whoever we choose, and 3) the Heatles' future up in the air.

But that's not a bold statement because going from a 1% chance to 5% chance is still "better". The Heat are going to have a ton of flexibility too if all 3 renounce their contracts, I think there's a great chance they do enough to keep him.

If Lebron was smart he would go back to Cleveland, Pat Riley will have to work his magic again to reload that team.

The Heat are still in a tough spot. I don't really expect them all to take that much of a salary reduction to keep the team together, especially with the craptastic performance of Bosh. Do they really want to pay Bosh more than $10M a year? He's going to want a max contract or close to it to stay with the team and even playing the opt out game they are going to be massively over the cap to keep the team together. Plus, what do you do about the rest of the team? They barely have anyone signed up and there are only so many competent vets out there that will take $1.5M a year to try to win a championship.

Really the Cavs are in a much better position because they have good players under relatively cheap contracts and could offer Lebron a max deal and bring in more talent if they want to pay a little luxury tax/do some trades. Anyways, not trying to get too positive about it because its not a guaranteed deal but it wouldn't shock me at all if Lebron came back. Like I said, Miami is in a tough spot.

Bosh and Wade can both opt in for 20 million next year. If they want to stay there and win another rind they need to turn that down and resign for way less money, not sure they are going to do that though.

If they do, the Heat will not win the championship next year because they will have no money to sign competent players outside of the Big 3(Big 1.5, little 1). Neither player is worth $20M a year.

Agreed though. Wade and Bosh need to cut their salary in half in order for the Heat to bring about some role players who can play defense and make an impact outside of shooting 3-pointers.

Way to go out on a limb there.

Riley would be retarded to re-sign Wade if he opted out.

Loyalty, I'd give him 5-8 million. He had an extremely efficient season he just can't play 4 straight playoff series, too much on the knees.

Wade and bosh would be idiots to give up 20 million as well.

Yeah they aren't getting anywhere near that anywhere else. We will see how much they want to win.

For those interested here's a breakdown of some salary numbers for Miami

Have to be an insider to read that. Derp.

The Cavs could also not pick up Andy's $9.8M option for next season and use that money to throw at some free agents. Make a run at Parsons if LBJ doesn't pan out?

I'd let Andy go as he's not worth $9.8M. If he wants to resign for a smaller deal, $3-4M a year, then fine. Otherwise, bye.

Agreed. Has there been a more overrated baksetball player on the Cavs then Varejao?
