Hey everybody I'm straight! I find it funny his dad doesn't support him. Im against homosexuality but I don't judge. Just nobody gives a fuck that you like men. Great high five, sportscenter can suck bricks.

Why is it funny that his dad doesn't support him?
  • WebFire
It's actually pretty shitty his dad doesn't support him.

I think a lot of people confuse support and love. If my child chose this path, I can't say that I would support their actions and decisions, however, I would love them unconditionally. If my child decided to do drugs, I would not support their decision, but I would love them unconditionally. If my child decided to marry an ex-con, I would not support their decision, but I would love them unconditionally.

...but that is just plain wrong. YOu must also support the behavior no matter what you feel about it or you are a bigot.

only if you can't come up with a better reason than "cause the bible tells me so".

This depends if you think being gay is a choice. So if it is not a choice, it would be the same as not supporting your child because they have blue eyes.

The bible doesn't say, "Don't marry ex-cons." Unless it's in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

I personally don't believe it's a choice. I get ETB what is saying, and I agree for the most part. But I don't think I wouldn't support my son if he came to me and told me he was gay.

    That is a terrible analogy.

I would not support my child having sex with a tree, or an animal, or furries, or cars, or inanimate objects, but I'd still love them. All people are born sexually attracted to something, right?

Excellant rebuttal! I love all that you provided to counter point!

Do I need to explain how being gay and being a drug addict are not the same thing?

Sure. Alcoholism is a disease, which most people are born with. So, go ahead.

Most people are born with alcoholism?

Alcoholics. Just answer the damn question, you know what I meant.

I would just tell me son 'Ya know, women have b-holes too and you don't have to look like a ******'.

I don't see how being gay is anything like being an alcoholic.

Well it depends on what kind of tree right?

At first I believed it was a choice and I think it is with a number of them. I do think there is a certain percentage that are just wired wrong that lead them to be attacted to the same sex. Children are born every single day with things wrong with them and being attracted to the same sex is along those same lines.

I view them both as something people are born with.

So anything one is born with that most people are not is automatically an illness?

If you're going to not be hypocritical, you should find being left-handed a disease. Or having green eyes. Or being unusually tall or short.
