    100% agree

If a Christian believes that homosexuality is wrong, and is a sin, however loves the sinner (hate the sin), would you consider them bigoted?

I'm not bringing religion into this.

If you can't accept someone because of their sexual preference (I said accept, not become best friends with), you're bigoted.

Accepting a person and accepting an "act" are not the same thing.

The entire purpose of Sam coming out is so his future potential employers and co-workers accept him, not his actions. Somewhere you're mixing the two together.

Maybe this will clarify whatever point you're trying to make:

A religious person is against the act of homosexuality. Fine. He's entitled to that opinion. But if he treats the homosexuals differently as people, then he's a bigot.

I'm not mixing shit. All I did was ask a question, in response to your post.

Okay, so what do you care what a person does in the privacy of their own bedroom with another consenting adult?

Is their a campaign by religious folk to take away liberties/advantages of those who masturbate?

A Christian wouldn't spend time judging someone else's supposed sin. So if they aren't a bigot, they are a hypocrite.

No, I'm kinda just playing devils advocate, b/c when homosexuality is discussed (in the mainstream media), often times Christianity is attacked.

As a believer, I just find it hilarious that "YOU MUST ACCEPT ME FOR WHO I AM!!!1!" does not go both ways. If I believe, based on the bible, that homosexuality is a sin, then why am I not entitled to my beliefs? I'm not going around all Westboro style, and I'm not preaching.

    I see what you're saying.

Christianity is attacked because a lot of the most outspoken people are the bigots who identify as Christians and base their argument off the bible.

In reality, those are just people who happen to be extremely bigoted and their Christianity isn't the basis for their beliefs, but is the justification given.

Because it's fucked up that, because of religious beliefs, you believe it's a bad thing that one is attracted to the same sex. It's just kinda fucking stupid.

This is what I don't understand. By NOT coming out, was someone not accepting him? I could give two shits whether someone is gay, I just don't know why it has to be announced.

I don't. So no announcement necessary.

What liberties/advantages did Sam not have, that he has now for announcing he is gay?

In today's society we have to accept all people and give all kids blue ribbons even if they play on a team that sucks. We should stop keeping score so no little kids are losers. Society is soft today.

Maybe alot of people think it is pretty fucked up and disgusting to be attracted to the same sex.

But to not accept it? To not accept them? To think they're some horrible animals that were born "wrong"?

    You're living in the 1800's

Not sure you can put those opinions and "think" in the same sentence.

Most of whom have been told to think that way by a guy who may or may not have molested a young boy.
    So who is really disgusting?

You're trying to compare being gay to blue ribbons in little league? lolfail.

    IPOTW, congrats.

Why do I have to accept gay sex, instead of just accepting the person who is gay?

No, I believe he's trying to compare, "YOU MUST ACCEPT ME AND ALL THE THINGS THAT I DO!!!1!" to blue ribbons.
