Also pick6, why would you spend money on a franchise that isn't even your team? Actually you tend to waste money so I am not surprised. I can also assure you that you did not come close to spending as much as me on the Browns LOL. The fact you went out to a movie and miss your teams play in game makes this even more comical.
Just throwing in my 2 cents here since pick6 tried to get cute, I've spent considerablly more than him on the browns this season, and just about any season I'm willing to bet. Congrats on going to games though pick6, don't want to get into a ticket/$ war with you (you'd lose). Glad you went, sorry your cowboys didn't make the playoffs. (?sarcasm, DGAF at all that they didn't)

He doesn't give a fuck either. He went to the movies instead of watching their play in game. LOL

McDaniels doesn't seem to be a favorite on this site, but I'll be rooting for him. He has connections to the area and some friends of mine are in his family. I know that's not a good football reason to see him hired, but most of us can only offer superficial reasons why someone should be hired over an another anyway.

I don't think this has been posted, but one man public opinion.

The problem for coaches with that kind of style, as Peter King and I were discussing earlier today, is that if you don’t win, you won’t last. Coaches can be jerks as long as they produce. If they don’t, they get run out the door quickly.
LOL....Bottom line is "if you don’t win, you won’t last." Nobody keeps a coach if he doesn't win just because he's a nice guy or his players like him.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 20h Why is Bob Stoops a top candidate for #Browns? They think he’s the perfect mix of discipline & players coach. Expect an interview this week

    Also...MKC is a douche

Tiernan;1562620 wrote:Another Tiernan Bet...ill take a 30 day hiatus if Stoops agrees to even interview for the job and says so publically. If he doesn't YOU take a 30 day vacation.

    C'mon big talkers - Pick 6, S&L, Pens, Vball...nobody? Ya didn't think so.
    I'll take that.

I'm a big fan of stoops. Usually puts his players In great positions to succeed and changes up his offense to fit his personnel. I think he would be very successful

Amazing how one bowl win turns Stoops into this "gotta have" NFL coach lol

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be opposed to Stoops...but he was considered overrated like, 4 days ago.

During the Mangini interview and subsequent hiring process it was reported that Stoops had talks with the Browns ownership also. I don't think merely one bowl win is why he is potentially interesting as a candidate.

You're annoying to respond to, but I meant on here. No one on here wanted or even talked about having Stoops as our coach. He wins one bowl game, and now we want him.

I got that from your post, I added something different to your point. The addition was that other NFL executives have had an eye on him before his recent bowl win.

To clarify for you, that's an opposition to those on the OC that you referenced but not a contradiction to your point.

Well, when you see reports that Josh McDaniels is the lead candidate, you tend to get excited for somebody like Stoops lol.

Edit: *Please do not respond to con_alma's last post. You know what is going to happen if you respond.

Seems like McDaniels has been the "wish" even before the decision to let Chud go.

I do like Stoops though. As I said before he won a national title with josh heupeul (spelling), and went to another one with jason white. That has to count for something. It does worry me that he has never developed a good NFL QB (Bradford is looking to be average), but not many top college coaches can say they have developed legit NFL QBs.

Yeah I'm not responding to Con...he can suck a D for all I care

Stoops wouldn't be a horrible hire...it would at least be some innovation from the Browns FO, for once. Usually, we'd hire an asst coach with no HC experience who brings basically nothing (cough cough McDaniels)

I just thought stoops would never leave the college game. I was always a fan of stoops and actually wanted him at ND before they hired Brian Kelly

What would be the appeal to be an NFL coach when you're at a top FBS program with the success he's had? .....ego? ....even more money???

Seems like life would be pretty good where he's at with his stature there.

    Seriously?

You and your super intelligence can't figure out why a college football coach would want to be an NFL coach?

"I'm the CFO of this company and just got an offer to be our new CEO...but I don't know....life is pretty good right now...."

Not to mention, coaching the Browns would bring him back to his home state.

...not just a college coach but a college coach in the position that Stoops is in.

I'm not convinced he's willing to answer to someone about football issues in the NFL while in at Oklahoma he closer to being the CEO.

...that's the only reason I can think of that makes some sense if it's truly a desire off his.

You can't comprehend with that huge brain of yours why a decorated college football coach would be enticed to move to the NFL coaching ranks?

Have you been sleeping for the past 30 years?

You are more of an idiot than you lead on if you can't see why.
