Browns New Coach

Idk I think Detroit, Minnesota and Houston are all solidly better, and you have a proven QB in RG3. All 4 have achieved success lately with very similar key players, where Cleveland has not won more than 5 games since '07like_that;1559501 wrote:The browns get a QB and they are in much better position than any of the teams you just listed. -

Minny is terrible....they only have ap. Patterson is awesome, and with Jared Allen it's not like they don't have a great guy up front to anchor the rush. They could be at least an 8 win team if they get a solid QB and some help for that front 7wes_mantooth;1559510 wrote:Minny is terrible....they only have ap. Every team in the nfl can say that...they suck.Classyposter58;1559512 wrote:Patterson is awesome, and with Jared Allen it's not like they don't have a great guy up front to anchor the rush. They could be at least an 8 win team if they get a solid QB and some help for that front 7 -

He keeps sending his scrub hand me downs to the Browns and we keep swirling around the bowl.
McDaniels will now make the 3rd NE coach we've signed in the last decade. -

Patterson? Are you fucking serious? lolClassyposter58;1559512 wrote:Patterson is awesome, and with Jared Allen it's not like they don't have a great guy up front to anchor the rush. They could be at least an 8 win team if they get a solid QB and some help for that front 7
He's a kick returner dude...no coach is going to go to a team because they have a good pash rusher and an exciting kick returner. -
OSHTommy Rowlands started a [hopeful] rumor, Jim Tressel.
-
TiernanOMG...I'd probably cum in public if they try to hire Lyin Jimmy. That would be a Clowns Haters dream hire.

Dr Winston O'Boogie
My guess is there is no truth to this. I remember the same rumor circulating last summer when Shermer got fired.OSH;1559531 wrote:Tommy Rowlands started a [hopeful] rumor, Jim Tressel.
Chud definitely lost this team over the course of the season. The biggest concern about that is how the ownership/admin could have made such a bad hire in the first place. -
ts1227Tressel is almost guaranteed to become the President of the University of Akron this summer, so that should keep him pretty busy.
I think he has zero interest at coaching at any level other than college anyway -
TiernanThe major paper of the largest city in Ohio (yeah it is...look it up) The Columbus Dispatch beat writer for the Cleveburg Broewns openly calls them a "comic strip franchise" on front page of Sports section. He goes on to pose the question if Haslam can't run a gas station how can he run a pro football franchise? Lotta good solid writing there. Happy New Year Suuuckers!

If we are talking personnel, is give the browns the 2nd best job. They have much more talent than any of the teams you listed except maybe Houston. If Houston gets a decent QB they will be back in the playoffs next year, book it.Classyposter58;1559509 wrote:Idk I think Detroit, Minnesota and Houston are all solidly better, and you have a proven QB in RG3. The Vikings only have "Patterson," and they pick somewhere near the 10th pick. Good luck getting your QB. Also as wed pointed out, their D is garbage.
The lions have CJ and that's about it. Stafford is becoming overrated by the day.
The redskins being the most lulz. If RG3 doesn't learn how to be a pocket QB he won't get any better. The redskins already atrocious defense is losing 9 of their staters to FA. Good luck replacing personnel without having your #1 pick. -
AutomatikCJ or not, Stafford still lit it up, but is derp moments killed them. Much like Romo, not sure if he can shake that. Reggie had a grand, and their dline is very good.
Give them a serviceable coach and they are in the postseason this year.
Minny and Washington are both terrible. I'd stay far away from those cities. The Redskins with their QB/owner lovefest are going to be shit for quite a while. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLI agree that I think the Browns have a fairly valuable position for head coaching candidates. Our roster has a lot of talent, specifically on the defensive side of the ball, but there is some talent on offense as well. Gordon and Cameron are "pro bowlers" and I think Edwin Baker can be a good change of pace RB as he is decisive and hits the holes hard. We need a QB, and lead RB, and a WR2, and we could also use a T and a G. Definitely some holes to fill, but there is talent on the roster and draft picks available to make this a very enticing position.

Saw a stat around week 14ish that stafford is 1-22 (probably worse now) against teams that finish the season above .500. That's pretty shitty.Automatik;1559637 wrote:CJ or not, Stafford still lit it up, but is derp moments killed them. Much like Romo, not sure if he can shake that. Lol Tressel really isn't that absurd. It's a long shot but it has a chance of happening unlike some no name HIGH SKOOL FOOTBAW coach.thavoice;1559667 wrote:Thanks. I tried hard on that one! Lol at Tiernan thinking Shanahan is still a good coach. I bet you think Monte Kiffin is still one of the best DC's in the NFL too because what he did 10-15 years ago huh?
As for the Browns I'd go after Lovie Smith if I were them. -

Agreed. But no way tressle ever gets an NFL job. Never.Iliketurtles;1559678 wrote:Lol Tressel really isn't that absurd. It's a long shot but it has a chance of happening unlike some no name HIGH SKOOL FOOTBAW coach.

TiernanSpeaking of Kiffins...there's the cure to Haslam's problems, bring Lane to Clevetown. I bet he'd have your asses in the Super Bowl next year.

TiernanTim McShay mock draft has Johnny Fuckup going 4th to the Broewns. Jesus this can't get any better!

Our 23rd ranked scoring defense has a lot of talent? Is Ray Horton that bad of a DC?Dr. KnOiTaLL;1559638 wrote:I agree that I think the Browns have a fairly valuable position for head coaching candidates.
