Browns New Coach

SonofanumpCulter on the Browns this year would have been 9-11 wins.

With a number of close games with big moments going the wrong way it's hard to argue....but he's missed an average of 4 games each of the past 3 seasons, completion % nothing great at 61%, TD/int ratio is not what you guys want and surprisingly has never had a QB rating in the 90's.Sonofanump;1560584 wrote:Culter on the Browns this year would have been 9-11 wins. -
wes_mantoothI think people are in love with the thought of Cutler....but look at his results. How many times does he throw critical interceptions? How often is he injured...and his toughness being questioned? The browns threw for more yards and touchdowns than new England (going into the last week...no idea what new England did this past week). Our overrated defense was just as much to blame for all the blown leads and losses. Don't get me wrong, we need a qb for stability, but Cutler is not a winner....never has been.

sportchamppsCutler with Hoyer as his backup and honestly as a bengals fan I think you easily make the playoffs
-
SonofanumpI don't want Cutler long term. He is in the middle of his career and just above average starter. But he would have given this 2013 Browns team 9-11 wins if he played all 16 games.

If Cutler's backup would've played the last two weeks the Bears might've made the playoffs. For about every 15 TD's Cutty has thrown in his career....he 's thrown 11 INT'ssportchampps;1560610 wrote:Cutler with Hoyer as his backup and honestly as a bengals fan I think you easily make the playoffs
But he is saved as one of my all-time favorite pics

Because they were favored to win the game, and had on paper superior talent? I don't get it, Cleveland lost 7 games by double digits lol, 7! Compare that to Detroit who lost 3 by double digits and 6 by less than a TD including 3 on a last second FG. Detroit was very close, Cleveland was not, simple as thatlike_that;1560701 wrote:Thanks for proving my point. Delusional little shit head. LOL

This isn't horseshoes or hand grenades. You don't get points for almost. Both the Browns and Lions sucked this year.Classyposter58;1560755 wrote:Because they were favored to win the game, and had on paper superior talent? The lions are what their record says they are. Below .500 combined record the last 5 years. Superior talent my ass LOL. They have 2 very good players and one slightly above average. A team you claimed that had "too many weapons" couldn't even win the division despite having the tie breaker on the bears and the packers throwing out Matt Flynn as their QB.Classyposter58;1560755 wrote:Because they were favored to win the game, and had on paper superior talent? Superior to the Browns? It's not really close, they have a better front 7 on D and have an offense that can finish. Cleveland has no balance at all, Lions have a good backfield combo in Bush/Bell, capable QB in Stafford and the best WR in the NFL. Plus they went into Cleveland, dominated the second half and won by 14 last seasonlike_that;1560774 wrote:The lions are what their record says they are. Below .500 combined record the last 5 years. HereticI must say there is something extremely hilarious about a fan of the non-playoff third-place team in a division that was won by an 8-7-1 squad bragging about how much talent is there in comparison to another non-playoff team.
It sort of reminds me of the mid-00s when Cincy fans were going 8-8 and talking like their team was the second coming on the old Huddle because they finished the year on a good note. And, well, coming into this weekend, the Bengals still haven't won a postseason game in over 20 years. Guess that all didn't work out for them...
Detroit hasn't been particularly good in forever. They have a couple guys who put up great fantasy numbers, but that hasn't translated to consistent winning and postseason runs. Until that happens, no Detroit fan should be bragging about anything more than how Megatron helped them win a fantasy title. -

Not to mention the two teams that finished ahead of the Lions both had their starting qb out a good portion of the season.Heretic;1560783 wrote:I must say there is something extremely hilarious about a fan of the non-playoff third-place team in a division that was won by an 8-7-1 squad bragging about how much talent is there in comparison to another non-playoff team.

Detroit is not good at football. Simple as that. Stafford isn't elite, and the only person you have is megatron. Act like the Lions "should've" won anything. you had a chance to win the confereance back when Rodgers went down and you went 1-6 to close out the season. Your team sucks, regardless of how many points you lost by LOLClassyposter58;1560755 wrote:Because they were favored to win the game, and had on paper superior talent? A capable QB vs terrible teams. 1-22 against winners. Yeah, have fun with that baby faced bitch.Classyposter58;1560780 wrote:Superior to the Browns? Few on here (or probably anywhere) like stats as much as I do......that 1-22 stat may be the stat of the year. Insanely elite choking prowess.DeyDurkie5;1560961 wrote:A capable QB vs terrible teams. 1-22 against winners. Yeah, have fun with that baby faced bitch. -

There are other factors in winning football games already, but this one is a bit ridiculous if you want to call yourself one of the most clutch QBs in the NFL LOL. As I said earlier, that stat was posted around week 14ish, so maybe his record changed a bit. I know the Packers finished over .500 (barely), so thats one more win for him I guess.Ironman92;1560972 wrote:Few on here (or probably anywhere) like stats as much as I do......that 1-22 stat may be the stat of the year. Edit: just checked. Lions played 5 teams that finished over .500. They went 1-4, and that was against a reeling packers team that was adjusting to life with Matt Flynn. So, 2-26! -
Lovejoy1984The fact the he cites him as being one of the most clutch QB's in the league by looking at his 4th Quarter numbers is the best part of this thread, failing to even mention the Win/Loss record.
