se-alumDon't want Schaub, but he did have some good years under Shanahan.

Dr. KnOiTaLLStill waiting on the Browns to do something in free agency. Kind of surprised very little has been done so far. Maybe the Browns are waiting for other teams to "set value" first...

Well it's not open until Tuesday, but I'm sure the Browns are using the three day period to negotiate.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1588334 wrote:Still waiting on the Browns to do something in free agency. Dr. KnOiTaLLI thought it opened on the 10th? Anyways, I'm just surprised to hear absolutely nothing as far as rumors or anything.

Commander of AwesomeShaub to the Cleveland is the most browns move ever. In fact, I mentioned this as a possibility back in October.

Delhome, Campbell, Dilfer, Wallace, & Garica agree.Commander of Awesome;1588356 wrote:Shaub to the Cleveland is the most browns move ever. In fact, I mentioned this as a possibility back in October. -

Players can officially sign at 4pm on Tuesday, I believe. I imagine agreements will start being leaked tomorrow.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1588353 wrote:I thought it opened on the 10th? Anyways, I'm just surprised to hear absolutely nothing as far as rumors or anything. -
shook_17Some guy from Denver just tweeted broncos expected to pursue Tj Ward in FA. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where he ends up. We draft good players finally then they leave. Awesome

I imagine Denver is going to overpay on the defensive side. They know their time is now with an aging Manning. Saw where they're also expected to pursue Michael Johnson.shook_17;1588369 wrote:Some guy from Denver just tweeted broncos expected to pursue Tj Ward in FA. shook_17Vikings and Jared Allen are parting ways

Midstate01@DustinFox37: Based on a source close to Donte Whitner, He is likely headed to the #Browns when the signing period begins.
Whitner is my favorite non brown...but isn't ward basically becoming a younger whitner? -

Read an article over the weekend that things have been very hush hush because of potential tampering violations. One expert said the dearth of #'s being tossed around is telling him that teams are areally adhering to the rules now, and that this 3 day window may be helping with the tampering.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1588353 wrote:I thought it opened on the 10th? Midstate01Fack!
@SI_PeterKing: Agent for transition-tagged Cle C Alex Mack tells me he's "confident" he can structure pact w/a "reasonable likelihood" Browns won't match. -

Yes, but a (potentially much) pricer one.Midstate01;1588605 wrote:

IF we're to move on from Ward to Whitner, obviously far from a guarantee at this point, then it's because they believe the front office can replicate Ward's essential skillset (tackling) with one or more players.
Some Pro Football rankings from last year among safeties for those curious:
Ward:
Overall-1st
Run-1st
Coverage-12th
Missed tackles-64th (13)
Whitner:
Overall-6th
Run-8th
Coverage: 5th
Missed tackles: 26th (7) -

Except the browns can afford it lol.Midstate01;1588639 wrote:Fack!

Completely true. But what if mack just completely wants out. You don't want a guy who's going to make a ton of money plus doesn't care to be there.like_that;1588641 wrote:Except the browns can afford it lol.
Peter king doesn't seem to think anyone is going to offer him a deal. -

I don't either. He's already the highest paid center. Who wants to go over that and can afford it?Midstate01;1588642 wrote:Completely true. But what if mack just completely wants out. You don't want a guy who's going to make a ton of money plus doesn't care to be there.

Commander of AwesomeMack will be a brown, Ward will not. Outside of last season, always thought Ward under performed. Hell even last season he missed a shit ton of tackles, I will not QQ at hm getting paid elsewhere.

se-alumYea, Whitner seems like a good replacement for Ward. I honestly thought Whitner was older than he is, but he's only 28, seems like he's been in the league forever. Also saw that Ward and Byrd are going to want around the same money.

se-alumRevis to be cut, we have money.

He will be 29 once the season starts.se-alum;1588687 wrote:Yea, Whitner seems like a good replacement for Ward. I honestly thought Whitner was older than he is, but he's only 28, seems like he's been in the league forever. Also saw that Ward and Byrd are going to want around the same money. -

Yea, I wouldn't expect more than 3 or 4 high level seasons out of him.like_that;1588743 wrote:He will be 29 once the season starts. -
SportsAndLadySome names I'm seeing a lot on twitter linked to the browns..
S jairus reed
WR Emmanuel sanders
Fucking QB Matt schaub
Lots of talk about Watkins being the pick at 4 after signing schaub. Wouldn't that just be a browns thing to do. -
SportsAndLadyAlso two cardinals players. Andre Roberts and karlos dansby
-
Crimson streakSanders would be a nice pick up so would dansby. No thanks on Shaub. Reed would be an ok pick up id rather have Byrd
