2014 Cleveland Browns Offseason Thread

Like it or not the Browns are going to have to trade up to get Manziel. And if they don't do it, they are making yet another horrible mistake. Only an idiot doesn't understand that Manziel is head and shoulders above the B & B boys.

Does management really want to win? Or do they want the same old shit again?

Gonna guess this is some sort of joke?

I want Teddy, but I'll be thrilled if JFF is there at 4. If both are gone, then go WR or bpa. I want NOTHING to do with bortles.

    Just curious, why not Bortles?
  • Midstate01
Doesn't have the arm strength I don't think. Has size. Doesn't move all that well, though OK. I just don't see it I actually like carr more than bortles. He seems like the every year fly up the board qb.

    This is just insanity.

Which part? His arm strength is average. I'm not high on Bortles. Granted, I don't want Carr, but I think Bortles is well behind Bridgewater and Manziel

Bortles moves very well for his size. Had around 100 yards against Baylor running read option, and Kiper calls his arm strength above average.

Scouts, Inc. has it as average

Average can win games and set NFL passing records.

I like how Bortles is solid under pressure, and he goes through his reads. I have said before though, I am ok with any of the three QBs. Each have their flaws, but most of them can be fixed imo.

Also, footwedge per usual is a dipshit.

I drunkenly read his post thinking it said he likes Carr over bortles. Lol

Yeah I don't really like either, but I'm significantly higher on them than I was on Weeden so I guess I'm OK with them.

Four mocks in one. I like all the first picks, but not a fan of the 2nd picks. I like hyde, but want nothing to do with him in the first round. Plenty of RB talent. I also don't think we need to reach out for a WR in the first round. I have a feeling we address our #2 WR in FA.

Same, I like the #4s but don't like the 2nd 1st round picks. I am a huge OSU fan, and if Hyde is there in round 2, fine. But the way the NFL is now, no way do I use a 1st round pick on a RB, unless it is so freaking obvious he is the next Tomlinson.

Good to hear Browns are working on a deal with Mack. Would love to see him locked up, and then take Yankey with the 2nd pick.

Are they really? Thats awesome news. I didn't understand banner and lombardi to create more holes on this team and would let Mack and Ward walk without making offers. This team is close. I don't give a shit what they say about 3 or 4 years, the media that is, we are a QB oline men, WR, and a few defensive pieces away. If we hit on a few players in FA this team could seriously compete.

@ Rotoworld_FB Report: # Rams not looking to extend Sam Bradford http://dlvr.it/4xyzjR

Evan Silva ‏ @ evansilva 2hSerious Q for # Browns fans: Would you give up a 3rd-round pick for Sam Bradford?

    Evan Silva ‏ @ evansilva 2h
I think # Browns & Bradford is worth exploring because Mike Shanahan was known to have great affinity for Sam. Kyle now Cleveland OC.

    Evan Silva ‏ @ evansilva 2h
RT @ CardenGary Not a serious question; Rams would never trade Sam for a 3rd ... Bc he's so awesome or bc his contract is so team friendly?

    Evan Silva ‏ @ evansilva 11m
Billy Devaney on # Rams not extending Bradford: "I think they want to sit back & see what type of year Sam has before making that commitment"

    Evan Silva ‏ @ evansilva 9m
And that sounds very reasonable, until you consider Sam Bradford's salary is non-gtd $14.02M with $17.6M cap number. A Salary Cap Albatross.

    Evan Silva ‏ @ evansilva 1m
Very fact # Rams wont extend Bradford confirms they have internal doubt. Yet theyll pay him a $14+M salary for '14? Something doesnt line up.

I know they wouldn't let him go for a 3rd rounder. But if the Browns dangled our 26th overall pick in front of the Rams. Any interest? I know I would be. I always like Bradford, just wish he could stay healthy.
  • SportsAndLady
    No thanks on Bradford.
  • like_that
No thanks on bradford as well. I hope this doesnt mean the Rams plan to draft a QB with the 2nd pick.
  • DeyDurkie5
No way. Draft a qb in the first. Draft a qb in the later rounds. Then let them go against hoyer. Sam fucking Bradford is not the answer
  • Commander of Awesome
If rams take a QB, we could be sitting there with no QB worth making a pick for. I'd imagine it'd go TBW, Bortles and Manziel as top 3 QBs taken. Leaving us with Carr/Mettenberger to chose between. No thanks.

At that point I'm taking Clowney/Barr/Mack/Robinson
