I wouldn't mind taking a look at Ginn and Manningham. Both have NEO ties.
As an OSU fan I love Ginn, but it would be a waste for the Browns. Ginn's strong suit is returns and they already have one of the best. Ginn is not really a great #2WR. they need a possession guy that can go across the middle to draw safeties up like Cameron.

I wouldn't mind Anquan Boldin. He's getting older but is exactly that kind of WR.

Anquan is only going to contending teams imo. I'd take Manningham over Ginn, but Ginn wouldn't be that bad. He would easily be better than Bess. Also, Benjamin is about 140 lbs and is just fragile.

There are a lot of WRs I would take on that list that would contribute much more than Bess. I just mentioned the two guys with Cleveland ties. I'd like to see how much money Tate, Jacoby Jones, Riley Cooper, Britt, Decker, Simpson, Holliday, and Nicks would ask for.

Also add Maclin to that mix.

I'd prefer them to get a WR in the draft, instead of any in the FA market. But, if they go that route I think Ginn would be another solid pick up. He had a quiet but productive season for the Panthers this year.

Amazing what happens when you play with a decent QB. He played in Miami without a QB, in SF which never seems to develop WRs and had Alex weak arm Smiff chucking the rock. Still not a great WR nor was he worthy of the #9 pick. If Ginn is anything but your 3rd/4th WR your WR corp sucks ass.

I would say even 3 is too high. He'd be a decent #4 guy, but that's about it. We need a legit #2 option and an improvement in the slot.

Ginn his last 4 years he's only had 12 19 2 and 36 catches. He is a return man and that's about it. Maybe a 4 but that can be a home run type guy and nothing more.

He's a fun guy to watch.....I like him more than he deserves as well.

The 1st qtr of OKC/GS will be hard to top.

39-32 Durant 15 points and Curry/Thompson shooting lights out

I'll leave it for the lulz

Not that far off topic, the Browns actually plan to interview Mark Jackson for the HC position.

Klay Thompson might make an All Pro TE

You guys see Bess namedrop Weeden when asked about the weed?

    http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2014/01/davone_bess_answers_question_a.html
Bess was asked questions about the arrest, laughed and called the incident a misunderstanding, and repeatedly said the words "rastafari" and "one love" while carrying a Bob Marley bag.
Sounds like the whole interview was a head-scratcher, though.

very attractive destination for coaches eh.

Its obvious Browns are focused in on one of the Coordinators who are still coaching. I'm actually glad they aren't just settling for someone who's available, and going after the guy they truly want, even if it means waiting.

Oh please let that be true. Two guys that come off the books.

so why are they interviewing bums like the cowboys special teams coach? All of their eggs are in the Denver OC's basket...they better hope it works out. Even though I don't know how much I like that. S&L could look like a good coach with Peyton Manning on his team.

I "think" just so they've covered their bases, incase they interview Gase, or whomever their #1 target is, and walk away hating them. Or maybe they interview someone out of the blue, much like Steelers did with Tomlin, and he hits a homerun.

Tomlin took over a team that had won a Super Bowl just a year earlier. People make him out like some homerun hire that turned the team around. Big difference between bringing in someone to continue on with an already strong team and organization, and bringing in a young, inexperienced coach to help build a franchise. Can it work, yea, is it likely to work, no.

id love to grab Maclin or Eric Decker in free agency and have them across from Gordon. Get a slot guy in the Second or third round. But We need to go QB at four. I don't care if its Bridgewater Manziel or Bortles one of them will fall to us. We take who ever it is or trade up to two to get our guy. think if Gase comes to Cleveland it opens the door for Decker to come here. We have the money.

Also I had emergency surgery last night. My appendix has been leaking for about a month. Finally it caught up to thursday. Now I have two tubes running from my abdomen for the next week or so to drain the infection out hopefully. Doc said I was an hour or two away from possibly talking death. Appendix was just pouring infection out. Guess it was crazy. Anybody have any tips or had this surgery?

A lot of guys on the FA list that would be an improvement for the Browns.

Yeah, an appendicitis can sneak up on people sometimes. Usually not to your extreme, so count your blessings it sounds like. The tubes and antibiotics will eliminate the infection and you should be fine. The surgery itself is usually pretty routine assuming it hasn't spiraled out of control prior.

Trade the first # 1 with a number 3 to move up and draft Johnny football. Trade the other number one and one of the 2's (and matbe have to throw in Benjamin) to get Sammy from Clemson. Sign a stud basketball player, preferably 6-9/6/10 who isn't quite good enough to make the NBA ala Gronkowski to post up in the red zone.. (Darius Thomas, Gates anyone?). Use the remaining number 2 and number 3 for right side offensive linemen. Hire a coach who isn't anal about a pocket passer and will allow "football" to scramble away. (he's better than both Wilson and Kappernackel).

Count on Deon Lewis to be healthy (is as good as Matt Forte if healthy). And watch the scoreboard fly.

On defense, utilize both Taylor and Wynn in a 4-3. Sign or draft a cornerback.

Then I want to hear the new head coach hold a presser and say.. "This year we will win the fuckin super bowl".

If Banner can't see the utter brilliance in my management style, then have fun being 4 and 12 again next year.
