Come up with that one by yourself? :D

Lol, sorry. My comment came more from research than you post. I try to form my own opinions as opposed to accepting others.

On another note, what kind of coach or teammate that has benefitted from the Manziel hype would trash him in the media. Not gonna happen. Even when Manziel admitted walking away from Sumlin was a mistake, Sumlin defended him saying he didn't walk away from him and that he wasn't being disrespectful. Ok coach, whatever you say...

My post came from the same research lol

Just giving ya shit man, it's all good. But good point that even if those around him saw a poor work ethic they wouldn't say it.

Come on man...Manziel wasn't all that good at A & M. Other than win the Heisman as a freshman what exactly did he ever do there?

Ehhh....his Pops offered him a car as a Junior to quit drinking....

    Ho Hum Ho Hum.....

Bernie Kosar was a drunk and he still holds NFL records for the most passes completed without an interception, and most Vodka Tonics drank without throwing up. I call that a win.

Actually, it was teammates. The people hat say no teammate disparaged his work ethic are incorrect.

JFF will start week one. 278 yards passing two passing TDS no INTs. Tate and West rush for a combined 187 yards and two TDs. Defense shuts down Big Ben and Company.

    And then there's this.....

    Dawg Pound Nation

Per a ‪#‎Browns‬ team source, Gordon is in Stage 3 and facing an automatic season ban. So much for wishful thinking.

    Sounds about right.

It's Cleveland. What did you expect?

    Here we go...

Johnny Manziel - QB - Browns

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on SportsCenter Friday that the Browns have approached Johnny Manziel about "toning it down," with regard to his actions on social media.

Per Mort, owner Jimmy Haslam was "bothered" by Manziel's recent posting of a "Money Phone" (stack of bills held to the ear) on Instagram. The Browns seem to be concerned more with Manziel's Twitter and Instagram behavior, rather than his well-publicized weekend partying. Approached by the Cleveland Plain Dealer Friday morning, Manziel told the paper "I don't think I'm doing anything wrong," and "I'm not going to change for anybody." Earlier this month, Browns RB Ben Tate described the coverage of Manziel as "annoying," hinting it may be a distraction in the locker room. ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi stated Friday that he's never seen Manziel-like behavior from a Browns player. Grossi has covered the Browns for 30 years.

He's barely seen a winning team either in those 30 years.

I dont know why people give reporters the time of day. 99% of them are hacks.
  • Midstate01
I don't understand why reporters ask other players about other players lives. Makes no sense.

According to Schefter, the Browns are trying to sign Brian Hoyer to a contract extension... although, Hoyer's agent said it will be difficult discussing a contract extension right now.

The Browns want to lock him up to an extension while Hoyer has little negotiating power. He hasnt played much and at this point wont command much on the open market.
Now..if he plays well this season that can be a totally different story so why not try?

I expect him to not sign one unless they offer quite a bit, which I dont see happening
  • Laley23
Would be easier, much easier, to trade him if he performs well and has a team suitable contract. Not saying you would get a lot, but you will have more suitors if he is locked in for a team friendly contract versus an overpaid one.

Lost a TON of respect for Johnny Football when I hear he's been hanging out with Justin Bieber. WTF?

Bieber is an uber douche. But he would probably be incredibly fun to party with.
