    lol indeed.

Anyway, enough of making the cowboys fan look like an idiot.

As for our RB depth, I think either Dion Lewis or Obie gets cut. Not sure what Dion's health is, but Tate and West will obviously be on the roster. That leaves Dion/Obie/Crowell. I think Crowell was a good UDFA pick up, and from what I have read he has looked pretty good. That leaves Obie vs Dion. I don't see Obie making the roster as a RB. His best chance is to compete for the FB position.

I've also read nothing but good stuff about Crowell. I'd wager he makes it and Lewis is gone. I could see Oby making it for ST, versatility on offense, but wouldnt be shocked if both were cut.

Do we really need to compare the college stats between Deon Lewis, and Crowell?

Deon Lewis is a better version of Matt Forte, the numbers do not lie.

Well, at least you got that right. Was he on the Bull & Fox show yesterday to confirm this?

As far as Dion Lewis goes, I agree with those who feel he could be a roster casualty. The Browns brought in a bunch of RB's and he wasn't a choice of Pettine's group. They might not feel that he fits the "one cut and go" type of running style they are looking for.

I really like Dion Lewis...but with this regime, I would actually trust them if they decide to cut Lewis. Any other of our previous regime's, they'd cut Lewis and he'd run for 1400 yards with another team.

If he's not one of our better RB's, and they don't feel they can bring him on the team as a 3rd/4th RB, then go ahead and cut him.

I highly doubt it with your lack of a counting ability and ability to process logical analysis with respect to playoff scenarios.

    I hope this is sarcasm.

Agreed. I really liked Lewis for last years system but not sure he's going to fit what Pettine/Shanahan like to do. Not sure Shanahan is looking for shiftier guys like Lewis.

    It is.

Footwedge was trying to make that argument based on their college stats.

I wish I was making that up.

Is Lewis participating in the OTAs? I don't think I've seen anything about him.

I must have missed that gem of football IQ.

The facility is enclosed, I wonder how he got into the gates.

Also, it's OTAs, helmets only. What would a try out at this point prove?

I have no idea-I only posted it because I thought it was funny the lengths some people will go to to live their 'dream'...actually, it sounds more like a screenplay for a Disney movie.

The Browns have released LBs Quentin Groves and Larry Grant.

Not surprised about Grant, I am surprised about Groves. You can never have enough edge pass rushers...Now really its just Kruger and Mingo.

Kind of a head scratcher to me too because Groves showed flashes last year as a pass rusher. They must really see something in Mingo.

I forgot they had Sheard too (don't know how he slipped my mind as he has done well). I guess they only "want" 3 in Kruger, Sheard, and Mingo.

I would have thought this would have been a final cut to 53 move though as Grovers is a solid player (not an all pro, but solid). I know he missed a lot of last season due to injury, maybe he isn't fully healthy?
  • Commander of Awesome
I don't get the move either. Maybe he asked to be cut or is a pos in the locker room. Either way, doesn't make sense based off on the field play.
