2013/14 NBA season chatter - let the LBJ hating begin!

Of course they matter, and they come into play. But I think the crutch my point rested on was the quantity of NBA writers who noticed the same thing, meaning it wasn't trivial or minute.robj55;1629801 wrote:And he was also forced to react to more defensive breakdowns from his teammates, but you don't factor that in. They weren't nearly as good defensively as in previous years. -

Oh the Wade thing? Yeah I still stand by that, especially with some of the names that were listed in that top 25. But you have your opinion and I respect that.lhslep134;1629805 wrote:No no not the lebron effort thing. Before that, I was starting to respond in a douchey way -

friendfromlowrySMH at the past ten pages. Idk how a player is still considered elite when he can't play more than 60% of the season, but whatever.
Anyways, wonder how long until Bosh/Wade make a decision on their contracts. -
Lovejoy1984
Agreed. To me that will make LeBron's choice a littler more clear, in terms of staying or going.friendfromlowry;1629814 wrote:SMH at the past ten pages. Idk how a player is still considered elite when he can't play more than 60% of the season, but whatever.

If Both stay in, I think he leaves, if they both opt out, I see him leaning toward staying -
Terry_TateThe sad part is that how robj thinks about Dwyane Wade isn't even close to the worst sports opinion about a player on the OC this month. That honor goes to gut for saying Pete Rose is a borderline hall of famer. Try harder next time rob, lol.

I obviously missed that....what did he say? like Rose doesn't deserve to be in the Hall on merit?Terry_Tate;1629816 wrote:The sad part is that how robj thinks about Dwyane Wade isn't even close to the worst sports opinion about a player on the OC this month. It was on the Serious Business Forum about Bud Selig maybe reinstating Rose. He compared Pete Rose to Hines Ward and said if he didn't play his last 5 years(would have ended with roughly 3650 hits) that people wouldn't be talking about him going to the hall of fame. He wouldn't back down from it either, it was comical.lhslep134;1629817 wrote:I obviously missed that....what did he say? like Rose doesn't deserve to be in the Hall on merit? -

I just sat at my computer staring at the screen for a minute trying to think of a response. nothing.Terry_Tate;1629818 wrote:It was on the Serious Business Forum about Bud Selig maybe reinstating Rose. You really should go read the thread when you have 15 minutes to kill. He even says it's just Reds homers who think he's so great when it's mostly Indians fans killing him. It's a HoF thread one day for sure.lhslep134;1629819 wrote:I just sat at my computer staring at the screen for a minute trying to think of a response. nothing. -

I'll do it after the Indians game. Still an early night here in AZTerry_Tate;1629820 wrote:You really should go read the thread when you have 15 minutes to kill. GOONx19Great laughs to be had in this thread this morning. Holy hell.

Laley23Bahahahahahahhsha. Pete Rose not a HoFer. Jesus Christ.
I think he is overvalued, but that's because I prefer a great hitter with power, so I would never have him in my top whatever of hitters. But not a HoFer??? He is 1st fucking ballot. -
SportsAndLady
He's the Hines Ward of baseball. He only is considered a HoF'er because he played 20+ seasons.Laley23;1629842 wrote:Bahahahahahahhsha. Pete Rose not a HoFer. Jesus Christ.

Good god that argument was so bad. -
sleeperWade is a top 25 player? LOL
He's complete trash. I'd rather have Waiters with 1 hand over Wade any day of the week. You can throw Bosh in the garbage can too. -
Heretic
He's pretty fucking elite at missing games because his body is too broke down to handle a full season any more!!!!!wildcats20;1629623 wrote:What does D Wade do that is elite?
I mean, that's the hilarious thing about these last few pages. A player CAN'T be a Top 25 player in any league with any real talent if you have to rest them the second game of back-to-backs to keep them healthy and they still can't handle the rigors of a postseason. I mean, if one wanted to say that if you had one game with everyone at 100% effectiveness, that he'd be a Top 25 pick, that's one thing...but we're talking about overall, not a one-game bubble isolated from everything else, because that just never happens in reality.
He's a good player who is very talented, but he is just physically decimated to the point where his value is nowhere near what it was even a handful of years ago. -
Commander of AwesomeHere's a question, if lbj were to leave the east, who's the best player in the east next season?
-
sportchamppsPaul George D Rose and Carmelo if he stays in the East
-
Commander of Awesome
lol, that says it all there about the East. 1 guy can't stay healthy, one is pathetic on def one way player and the other might crack top 20 in the West. East is garbage.sportchampps;1629967 wrote:Paul George D Rose and Carmelo if he stays in the East -
wildcats20Honestly, give John Wall a look.
But the answer is clearly Dwyane Wade. -
sleeper
lol? Do you even watch basketball? Irving would be up there along with Carmelo.wildcats20;1629970 wrote:Honestly, give John Wall a look.

Azubuike24Paul George, Kyrie Irving, John Wall or DeMar DeRozan. None have shown anything above just being very good though. All can get better and accomplish more than they have thus far...
-
Laley23Paul George has shown to be better than very good. Just hasn't been able to do it consistently for more than like a month.
