    Agreed, hence all the interest in Oden as well, who hasn't played in like four damn years.

    Didn't we all know he was going to choose between the Cavs, Heat, Spurs, and others?
    Perhaps it was a Chris Broussard report.

    [h=3]Report: Dwight Howard Unlikely To Re-Sign With Lakers[/h] Jun 27, 2013 10:30 AM EDT
    Dwight Howard is unlikely to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to sources that spoke with ESPN's Chris Broussard.
    The main reason for Howard's departure, should he leave, is Mike D'Antoni's system on offense.
    Sources say the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets are the favorites to sign Howard.
    The Lakers can offer Howard a five-year, $118 million contract, while rival teams can pay just $88 million over four seasons.
    Howard hasn't completely ruled out the Lakers, but he did not enjoy playing with Kobe Bryant within D'Antoni's system.
    Howard likes the idea of joining the Mavericks, where he would become the franchise player beside an aging Dirk Nowitzki.
    The Rockets would be the best option for Howard, according to those close to him. But Howard has reservations about how he would fit in their perimeter-oriented system.
    Howard will also meet with the Warriors in free agency.

    [h=3]Could Asik follow T-Rob to PDX? [/h]July, 2, 2013 Jul 2

    By Nick Borges | ESPN.com
    The Portland Trail Blazers helped the Houston Rockets create enough cap room to offer Dwight Howard a massive contract as they've agreed to take on Thomas Robinson's contract in exchange for the rights to two European draft picks. There is a chance Omer Asik could be on the block if Howard signs with the Rockets and he might end up with the Blazers.

    From Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com: "One source who is tuned-in with how things could develop tells CSNNW.com that the Trail Blazers are in the Rockets' good graces, which could have an influence on where they choose to ship Asik when it's time to do so. The center position is a dire need for Portland, being that they were one of the worst defensive teams in the league."

    Portland should have enough salary cap room to accept Robinson and Asik, but if they don't a possible sign-and-trade with J.J. Hickson might get a deal done. Haynes points out that both Hickson and Asik are represented by agent Andy Miller.

    Asik is on the books at $8.37 million the next two years, although his actual pay is $5.2 million in 2013-14 and $14.9 million in 2014-15.

    I could not honestly care less about Howard's decision. Wake me up when he signs a contract, because he's going to change his mind about 400 times and its just not worth following. Not to mention, ESPN is all "update the country every time Howard takes a shit!!!" right now which I hate.

    This makes me dislike athletes as quickly as anything.

    You mention Farve.....Terrell Owens may have been the 1st I remember ESPN wearing out. Add Roger Clemens to that as well.

    I hate you Brett Farve.

    Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 1m Pacers have agreed to rescind Tyler Hansbrough's qualifying offer, I'm told, which immediately makes him unrestricted free agent

    Oden says the two teams that best fit him are Spurs and Cavs (radio)

    I think a team should be hesitant to sign howard. He became an issue in the last two places he was at.

    Also, that is a GREAT trade for the Clippers.

    I think it's a great trade for the Suns. The Clippers, for their current situation, it's a really solid move. The Bucks? Eh.

    Kevin Martin leaves OKC. 4 year deal w/ the T-Wolves.

    That Harden trade is looking worse and worse for the Thunder

    He sucks. Can't finish. Fouls once every 2 minutes of playing time and gets in stupid scuffles.

    If they would have waited 1 more year the cavs could have gave then a really nice package. But on the plus size I love minny signing all these guys to decent money. Should free up pekovic.
