Indians fans should absolutely take the blown call and chalk up a win (the talk about reversing the call and starting it up at 4-4 today is a ****ing joke) and not feel bad about it. But saying it was the right call to stand as a double is just insanity. Lol.

Terrible call, but **** no I am not giving it back lol -
shook_17Nick Swisher goes deep! 6-0 tribe top of 3rd
-
bases_loadedI was coming back from lunch and heard the start of the bottom of the first on the radio to hear ole Tom describe Bart. "He's listed at 5'11" 260lbs...that must've been a couple cheeserburgers ago"
-
bases_loadedMLB has said the call was improper, but stands.
-
Mohican00and Mark Reynolds with his 11th
-
Laley23Oppo for Reynolds. He has never had this kind of approach at the played in the times Ive seen him. I am cautiously optimistic he can hover closer to .275 then .240 to go along with all the power.

I was paraphrasing the umpires explanation, and noting that we are used to seeing stuff like this in the NFL all the time. I''ll bet two weeks doesn't go by where an 'obvious' call doesn't get righted by replay. The rule for overturning a call is 100%....not from you or me or the sportscasters or the television audience, but from the umpires alone. Terry Francona had it right saying "the umps went back and checked...so...." "Blind" umpires have existed since the beginning of the game. What else is new? I've played, coached and watched baseball games for 50+ years. You deal with bad umpires and bad umpire's calls. It was 100% a Homerun. What is wrong with you?
"losers whine...winners tell jokes"
Yep.
MLB has said the call was improper, but stands.
Glad to see the Tribe is out on top early today. -
Laley23Not to say the pitching has been lost in all of the nice hitting this homestand. But the numbers are unreal from the staff during the good stretch of play.
On top of that, they have completely shut down Oakland, who, if Im not mistaken, led the majors in runs scored before this 4 game set...wow. -
Laley23Well I just looked. Oakland was leading the league in runs scored (171). And after the Tribe has held them to 3, 0, 3 and so far 1 run...they are still leading the league in runs scored (178). Awesome pitching.
-
ohiobucks1I love this team. We may not make the playoffs this year (I hope we do) but I no matter what this is a group that I can support. It all starts with Francona and Swisher
-
vball10setSorry Laley, I digress...keep starting these threads!!!
-
TBone14When was the last time the Tribe had a 4 game sweep? It has been a while. Red hot right now. Loving it. Winning all sorts of ways. Outslugging teams...Monday and today. Pitching duel on Tuesday and even some luck yesterday with an unearned run and the CLEAR double off the wall in the 9th.
-
Crimson streakNow lets go into Detroit and take atleast 2 out of 3
-
royal_kIs it too early to renegotiate Reynolds' contract? lol He needs to be signed for more than this year.
And Kazmir hitting 95 and 96 with his last 2 pitches today is impressive. -

No shit on Reynolds. We won't be able to afford him if he keeps this up. I can't believe they couldn't get a club option on him. -
HitsRusWe'd better hope Mark Reynolds likes the team, the city, and Tito and wants to give us a 'home team' discount.....and that Daddy Dolan has more than spare change in his wallet.

TBone14Tigers lose. Tribe a game back going into the series this weekend. Who would have thought that 12 days ago???

An exciting series for this early in the season. Hopefully they continue to play like they have the past couple of weeks.TBone14;1440953 wrote:Tigers lose. Tribe a game back going into the series this weekend. Who would have thought that 12 days ago??? -

No one. According to classyposter, the tigers are better than the '27 Yankees -

FootwedgeInside the numbers show the tribe on a pace to hit 265 home runs. That has never been done before.....by any baseball team. Compare that with the unbelievable Indians team of 95.....which hit only 207 homers.

So are you saying it is going to be tough to keep this pace up? -
wes_mantooth
They won't keep up the pace, but still nice to finally have some pop in the lineup. Also, the 95 indians played in a shortened season.Footwedge;1440970 wrote:Inside the numbers show the tribe on a pace to hit 265 home runs. That has never been done before.....by any baseball team.
