Guessing most of that holds true for RF except his arm isn't as impressive for RF.

Bourn is hurt? Is Brantley playing CF?

Stubbs would've played CF in Cincy for Dusty no matter who the Reds had.

Bourn has been out for about 3 weeks. Stubbs has looked awesome in CF, imo.

Also, not as many balls are hit on a line to the RF, imo. So those wont be as bad for him, the balls off the wall should be easier as well. The only thing that will be tougher would be diving catches as the ball tends to have more slice etc to it for corner OFers. But covering less ground, I expect him to get to most balls in RF that he can get too.

Bourn comes back this week. And Stubbs is playing center while bourn is out.

Indians always seem to get screwed by the umps. Tonight....payback. I don't understand how 4 umpires can look at that and rule it a double. Like another poster above said, this might be protested. Not sure if you can protest a booth review though. Maybe Peter Gammons will have the answer.
  • Laley23
Only thing I can think of is that the ball hit the railing and came down and hit the wall after. Making an indent on the wall, on the replay. But Jesus that was baaaaad.
  • Laley23
Just saw MLB Tonight...DEFINITELY an indent on the yellow line. It was clearly after the ball hit the railing, but that has to be what it was...

On another site a poster said Hammy was livid after that call.

Hammy has no patience for these piss poor, arrogant umpires

It just is so bad for the game. I will obviously take the W, but how the fuck do you miss that?
  • Laley23
As a side note, this worked out pretty well huh vball?? :D:D

Ill have the Detroit Series Thread up sometime tomorrow night.

You can't protest a judgement call.

What's the matter with you guys? 4 umpires looked at the replay and said that was off the wall. That's good enough for me.
  • Midstate01
The umps made it worse by refusing to speak to the media. Basically admitting their mistake.
  • HitsRus
Umps rarely speak to the media. The explanation that was given was it wasn't 100%, and you need 100% to overturn a call. Doesn't sound any different than some rulings we are used to seeing in the NFL.

Yeah, but unless the video they were looking at was taken from a camera phone in the first baseline nosebleeds, he's obviously lying or retarded.

Also, lately when umps blow calls they have been pretty honest and open about it after they saw replays after the game (Jim Joyce, Jerry Meals, etc.)

But this was more obvious then most plays in the NFL.

He's the best thing that's happened to this team in quite a while, that's for sure

I read the AP article. The ump was Angel Hernandez. He's not like Joyce, Meals, etc., but an incompetent blowhard who somehow remains employed despite being on the level of the average bored high schooler umping a coach-pitch league.

Haven't read through the pages. But its about time Cleveland sports end up on the good side of a bad call. I don't know how the officials blow that call. It looked to me clear as day.

But heres to hoping to we get the sweep here today. Our Indians are on fire and absolutely love it.

It was 100% a Homerun. What is wrong with you?

Indians fans should absolutely take the blown call and chalk up a win (the talk about reversing the call and starting it up at 4-4 today is a fucking joke) and not feel bad about it. But saying it was the right call to stand as a double is just insanity. Lol.

This is going to sound like the gayest thing ever. But I love this guy. I just want to be his friend. Hang out with him. Drink beer together.

I just noticed that Big Bart Colon is starting for Oakland today.

My guess is that in the depths of his trailer, NCF is spontaneously jizzing in hopes that he can win, which would prove to him that everything he ever said about the Tribe is 100% correct.
  • Heretic
Oops. Check that. Bart opened the bottom of the first with a single and two-run homer to Kipnis.

So, as of this moment, this is one of those games that he didn't watch because of how he has a life, unlike all of the puppets who follow him around.

So he's focusing on JV softball today.

I speak for everyone on the thread (except maybe hits, I cant tell if he is agreeing with the umps or just giving their explanation and saying we shouldnt complain lol) in saying we all agree with you.

Terrible call, but fuck no I am not giving it back lol
  • Laley23
If I were Bob Melvin, I would have come out and argued that Kipnis HR. Just for shits. I might have even gotten tossed...lol

    2-0 good guys!
