COA....why don't you think a first year HC should call the offensive plays?
Too much going on on game day. Get an OC you trust to handle that.

Six teams - OAK, KC, DET, CHI, CAR, IND - have asked to interview Browns ST coach Chris Tabor and Cleveland has denied permission on Tabor.

No thanks on Jarvis Jones. Not worth drafting a guy 6th that could have a very short career in the NFL. His spine is deteriorating...

I agree 95+% of the time but if it's a huge play within the game...I'm in his ear calling my play.

Lets play what if again: John Pagano is rumored to be the Browns top choice for DC, but San Diego is reluctant to let him go and KC has also shown interest. So who else makes sense to fill this role? Answer: Dave Wannstedt.

Chud has worked closely with Norv Turner's son, Scott, at Carolina and he is expected to bring him to Cleveland to coach in some capacity. Scott Turner worked under Wannstedt from 2008-2010 on the University of Pittsburgh coaching staff. Wannstedt is available after being relieved of his duties in Buffalo.

    Pro: he runs a 4-3
    Con: terrible mustache

[h=1]Paton out of Browns G.M. mix, but reason isn’t clear[/h] Posted by Mike Florio on January 14, 2013, 10:35 AM EST
In the days after the Browns fired G.M. Tom Heckert, word emerged that the Browns requested permission to interview Vikings assistant G.M. George Paton.
    But an interview never happened.
There are two different versions in league circles as to what happened. One source says that Paton passed. Another source says that the Vikings declined permission.
The latter suggests that the Browns’ General Manager position won’t entail, at least on paper, final say over the roster. If it did, the Vikings couldn’t have blocked either the interview or the hire.
There’s a chance, we suppose, that both the Vikings declined and Paton wasn’t interested.
Still, there’s now a valid question in Cleveland, especially since new coach Rob Chudzinski doesn’t have personnel experience: Who will have final say when it comes to picking players?

Brandon Weeden threw for 3385 yards in Pat Shurmurs offense. The ol gunslinger didn't pass that mark until his third full season. Tom Brady was 500 yards short of that. Elway only threw for more yards in 7 of his sixteen seasons. Not saying weedeb is a great qb, but we may be surprised next year with chud and norv designing plays.
  • royal_k
I've been saying all along Weeden was in a bad offense for him. He struggled with the 3-5-7 step drop of the WC offense. Put him in the shot gun, like he was at Ok St and see what you have.
  • Rotinaj
I think most people know that he has decent potential. The problem is that most of the times it takes a qb several years to reach that potential and by then he'll be 900 years old. I'm all for giving him another year but I don't completely disagree with the people who want him out.

Brandon Weeden and pro bowl in the same sentence
  • shook_17
If chud can get DA to the pro bowl he can sure in the hell get Weeden to the pro bowl. Weeden in the vertical offense is great.

considering they are the exact same player, I could see it happening. But face it, making a pro bowl is nothing.
