The team played every game and a few more things go our way, we are looking at .500 and maybe in the playoffs.

I'm not too concerned with Chud and this staff. A rational fan can see we have a great core of coaches, all we need to do is get them players that are actually going to do their job. We've blown leads in the 4th quarter this year an astonishing amount. Bess/Little need replaced, and we need some great cover linebackers along with a RB and WR. With 5 picks in the top 100, we should be able to fill a lot of those needs and next year will be a good indication of how Chud and this staff will do.
I definitely agree with this. Outside of Gordon our wideouts were terrible. Definitely need a guy next to Gordon that is reliable. We also need 2 offensive guards. Our run blocking was garbage this year.

I'd say the 0-16 Lions did it

I'm not ready to cut bait on the Coach yet, after the tire fire we had at QB this year.

Chud has no reason not to get the QB he wants this off season, and then I feel we can truly begin to grade.

The draft should help us desperately fill some holes that we need.

I agree with the above poster, I'd make a respectable offer to Cutler, and see what happens. If he signs great, if not draft someone with the 2nd 1st round pick, and trot out Hoyer(assuming he's healthy) to begin the season, letting the young QB sit, and learn.

I don't want him gone...I am okay with Chud as a coach. Just saying I wouldn't bitch at all if they realized that 4 wins with 5 pro bowlers should result in the coach being fired.

I guess my other problem is the pro bowl selections. Not saying they don't deserve it but it seems like about as much of a joke as the mlb gold gloves. Gordon, Thomas and Haden are no doubters but I not sure about the other two. So I don't put much stock in the 5 pro bowlers/4 wins argument.

I'll pass on Cutler. I'd rather plan on rolling with Hoyer and draft a QB to compete with him. I want a franchise QB, not a 2-3 year stop gap.

I have no problem with the initial pro bowl selections, but once is starts getting watered down with people declining to play/can't play because their team is still in the playoffs, then I'll start to question the credibility of it. I mean at least its not like the NBA where players apart of the largest fanbases/demographic almost get voted to being a starter and they haven't played in like over a year (ex. Yao Ming).

I think Cameron was deserving, him and Julius Thomas were the two best TE's in the AFC this year.

    Yeah...like Derek Anderson's "pro bowl"year

Yes, lets pass on good QB's. That's what Cleveland should do.

Why get a good QB for 2-3 years when we can get a FRANCHISE QB IN THE DRAFT!

Thats my thoughts as well. Cleveland in general has shown an inability to draft well at the QB position, FA market may be the best bet.

I'm pretty sure Denver is happy with the Stop-Gap QB they have for the next 2-3 years, same with the Chiefs. You take the best player you can get, if its FA awesome. If an Andrew Luck is sitting their in the draft for you, even better, but this draft has no Andrew Luck type player.

Whats the old saying "1 in the hand is worth 2 in the bush".

My dude Teddy B on ESPN right now. Lets see what he's got.

    Starting off well.

Have no idea why people have seemed to cool on Bridgewater, he's played very well all year.
  • wes_mantooth
Just the way it is every year....media hypes different people every week. When it's all said and done, he'll rate out as the highest qb
  • Azubuike24
The QB class is becoming less and less impressive too. Next year's may top it...

Definitely going to have some top RB's as well. Gordon, Yeldon, Gurley

I don't think anyone (who matters) has. He's been a top 5, and normally #1, mock draft pick all season long.
  • Laley23
Lose to the Steelers and give me Teddy B or Bortles (I think he comes out).

They will most likely be able to get one of them...and if they have to trade both 1st rounders to move up to #1 or 2 or whatever it is to get him...do it.

Cutler would be fine, but I actually think both QBs (Bridgewater and Bortles) will be better than Cutler. Not year 1, but by year 2.

Cleveland just needs a QB who we know will be starting for sometime. Build some damn stability at the most important position for once. Id make a strong, strong push for one in the draft, and if they cant...or neither has good workouts and they decide to pass...then go for Cutler or another FA.

    This.

Does everyone realize by now that taking a QB later in the draft (aka, not the first or 2nd QB taken) just doesn't work for the Browns.

We just don't have the talent evaluation to hit on a Russell Wilson or Kaepernick.
  • Mulva
Cutler is, next to Eli, the most overrated QB in the NFL. Not sure he's even in the top half of starting quarterbacks. Somewhere from 12-18. I'll pass.

I want some combination of QB/WR with the 1st 2 picks. Really don't want to give up a pick, but don't want to pick the 4th QB with the 6th pick, either. Gonna be interesting to see how things play out.

Would love to end up with Teddy and Jordan Matthews.

So when I say it, it's stupid to pass on Cutler and draft a QB, but when laley says it, you agree? Sound logic.

Laley didn't say pass on cutler he said he thinks bortles and bridgewater will be better than him by year 2. When I said "this" I was referring to drafting one of the first two QBs. Not wait to draft the 5th best QB with our colts first rounder. Fuck that shit
