Pick6Ward has had a good season. Horton is putting him in the positions to excel.

I've heard that when Horton comes into a new team he asks each defender what they "feel comfortable with" and what they "feel they are good at." He then tailors his defense to those skillsets.Pick6;1530577 wrote:Ward has had a good season. Horton is putting him in the positions to excel.
There wasn't much of a question of whether Ward had some talent. The question was whether he could stay healthy. -
Laley23It's seems to me Ward is blitzing a bit or at least coming up on the line of scrimmage a lot more this year. That is perfect for him because he is an excellent run stuffer and hard tackler. His coverage was always what was below par. I'm loving what ward has been able to do this year thus far

se-alumWhat's everyone's thoughts on Gipson? I think he's played surprisingly well, and always seems to be around the ball.

Pick6
I think Gipson has done a great job as well. Really hard to find much to complain about on D.se-alum;1530601 wrote:What's everyone's thoughts on Gipson? I think he's played surprisingly well, and always seems to be around the ball. -

Their "fans" are jumping ship like rats. Rarely do I see any of the local frontrunners wearing the black & piss around here anymore.Pick6;1530668 wrote:just bought tickets for the game against shittsburgh. some fan I am. amirite guys?!? -

I've noticed this as well. Growing up in the Ohio Valley, probably 90% of the people there are Pittsburgh fans. They've been awfully quiet this football season. I love it.BR1986FB;1530673 wrote:Their "fans" are jumping ship like rats. Rarely do I see any of the local frontrunners wearing the black & piss around here anymore. -

Yep. I go down to the casino in WV, which is infested with them, and they don't talk any shit anymore when I wear my Browns gear. Just give me dirty looks.Pick6;1530685 wrote:I've noticed this as well. Growing up in the Ohio Valley, probably 90% of the people there are Pittsburgh fans. BR1986FBNice cop out by JT as to why the O-Line sucks at run blocking....

You disagree with what he said? You think RBs win SBs?BR1986FB;1531290 wrote:Nice cop out by JT as to why the O-Line sucks at run blocking....

Not at all but if you need a yard or two, late in the game to kill some clock, you shouldn't have to pass to get it.Commander of Awesome;1531298 wrote:You disagree with what he said? You think RBs win SBs? -
Commander of Awesome“But if you saw what happened (against Baltimore), soon as it’s an obvious run situation, they’ve got nine guys in there (close to the line of scrimmage). They’ve got more than we can block, so you’re almost wasting your time because defenses are so good defending the run now. It’s so hard to run. That’s why you see us throw on 4th and 1.”
Great points -
BR1986FBSo what's their excuse on 1st & 10, 2nd & 2, etc? Oh yeah, "excuse..."

I don't think the browns had 10 top plays like that last season.BR1986FB;1531975 wrote:Top 10 plays of the first half of the season....

Still can't get over Bess leaving that defenders jock on the field with that juke move and Travis Benjamin is a freak. Too bad he's done for the year.like_that;1532012 wrote:I don't think the browns had 10 top plays like that last season. -

Same, that should've been number 1. Sucks Benjamin is out, but he will be next year when this team will come into the season knowing they can make noise at least.BR1986FB;1532018 wrote:Still can't get over Bess leaving that defenders jock on the field with that juke move and Travis Benjamin is a freak. The best part of this season so far is the coaching staff developing these young guys. Last year we were saying we were sooo many pieces away. Now, I only think this team is a few pieces away.
Did the browns even have a top plays montage last season after the first half? I doubt it, our "top" play last year was a Trent Richardson run for 4 yard because he popped off Coleman's helmet lol. -
BR1986FB^^^what also sucks was the loss of Dion Lewis. I shudder to think the dynamic he could've brought to this offense, especially on short/dump off passes. Would've opened things up a ton for Gordon & Cameron downfield.
Saw a mock draft that had the Browns selecting at #13 in which they took the WR, Watkins. The second pick, which I just can't see due to dumping Richardson, was the RB, Seastrunk, from Baylor. Most of the QB's were well off the board by then. I like Seastrunk but I'm skeptical that we'll be seeing too many 1st round RB's taken in the near future unless they are the reincarnation of Adrian Peterson. -

Yeah like I said before, as long as banner is in charge we aren't getting a rb in the first. Also lol at the mock. We all know the browns are gonna get a QB with at least one of the picks.BR1986FB;1532127 wrote:^^^what also sucks was the loss of Dion Lewis. If they can't get one of the true stud QB's, why take a QB just for the sake of saying you took one? If they draft a QB, I want a game changer, not just a "body" like the kid from LSU or McCarron with a mid-teen's pick.like_that;1532136 wrote:Yeah like I said before, as long as banner is in charge we aren't getting a rb in the first.
