Week 7: Cleveland Browns at Indianapolis Colts

I said 'If the Browns had a pass rush like the (usual) Giants front 4 or the Steelers (when they are good)".... implying a fierce pass rush like the Giants and Steelers USUALLY have, which the Browns DON'T.
Frankly don't give a **** how many sacks they have. QB's still have way too much time to throw. Get in Luck's face, early & often today, (which they didn't) and perhaps the Colts aren't driving, leisurely up & down the field like they did in the first half today. Front four simply isn't harrassing QB's enough.
How about a pass rush like Houston lol. Holy hell they are damn good and when they don't get to the qb they bat passes down -

well that sucks. but we should be able to get atleast their 1st plus another 1st? or no?BR1986FB;1301147 wrote:I'm skeptical that the "trade rape" is gonna happen this year. Usually that type of "take" comes from a trade up for what is perceived is a franchise QB. As previously mentioned, I don't think there's an RGIII in this draft. Someone may end of rising but I just don't think that elite talent is there now. -

Depends where Kansas City is sitting. They want that franchise guy and could like geno smith or Barkley -

Anything's is better than what we have. Yeah, they'll get a few sacks but seems like they hardly ever get one when they need one or one that makes a huge impact. Last week's strip sack of Dalton being the rare exception.Crimson streak;1301149 wrote:How about a pass rush like Houston lol. I'd be ok with trading first and a second depending how far -

True and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a new regime (Pioli/Romeo on the way out) there.Crimson streak;1301153 wrote:Depends where Kansas City is sitting. They want that franchise guy and could like geno smith or Barkley -

I think it will help when Taylor gets back. But we don't have that consistent pass rush. Sheard looks like shit so far this year and looks like he may be a rotation de type player -

I see maybe 4 teams looking for a qb Kansas City, Jacksonville, jets, and buffalo -

The sad part is that it seems like a guy they got off the scrap heap, Emanulle Stephens, gets better pressure than Sheard.Crimson streak;1301157 wrote:I think it will help when Taylor gets back. Rucker has been our best pass rusher. Actually I like what Rucker has done so far, he's been solid. -

we should see if they are interested in coltCrimson streak;1301161 wrote:And Arizona -

It doesn't feel like it but when you look st the big picture we haven't been dominated yet. Had a chance to win every game. A new head coach and cut down on the turn overs we could be 4-3 5-2. We actually aren't that far away. -

Yea I'm not feeling it either. Ill start to feel it when we're able to win more than 5 games in a season.SportsAndLady;1301187 wrote:Lets hope..sure doesn't feel like it though. -

Sorry, but I am done with moral victories. I have seen that shit for the past 5 seasons now, and nothing has come out of it. Just fucking win. -

You could add 4 players to any defense in the NFL and make them good. That's about as far away as it gets.Crimson streak;1301121 wrote:The defense isn't that far away though. We need about 3-4 players to be a good d. A pass rusher a very good lb a corner and a safety. I'd like to get te'o or Jarvis jones with our first rounder this year. -

True but we have to make the right decision on drafting and free agency. Even if you fill 2 of those spots with ok to solid guys and get an elite pass rusher / lb in the draft it improves your defense drastically. -
SportsAndLadyYeah...if this wasn't how EVERY season has gone recently, I'd probably be excited. But..

Hey I'm just trying to be optimistic here lol. It doesn't help we had some retarded ass head coaches. I think that's been a majority of the problem -
shook_17Im not taking the moral victories approach. im as pissed off as anybody about our 1 in 6 start. but it looks like our wide outs are starting to work out. Gordon, little (has had to solid games in a row with no drops) cooper is hopefully here to stay, seems like that guy catches everything, benjamin and norwood. weeeden as long as he keeps progressing, trent richardson in the backfield. the offensive line has 3 first rounders on it. i mean you can see the pieces being put in place. we obviously need more along with the defense. but you can see it.

We NEED better guards. They have been a huge problem to our run game. -

ts1227Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but Richardson seems somewhat miffed with Shurmur's decision to bench him.
