Week 7: Cleveland Browns at Indianapolis Colts

And only in Cleveland do you hear "we have to tank the season so we have the first pick in the draft cuz I don't wike the QB." Rooting against your own team. Worst. "Fan." Ever.SportsAndLady;1301009 wrote:Lol only in Cleveland do you hear this shit, man.
"If you just take out one game, he's been decent."
"our offense is playing well" 13 points against the lowly Colts
"our coach calls bad plays that make our QB look bad"
"I'm not going to blame it on the offense because they usually score 22 points a game." -
zach24ozI'm not sure who said anything about the coach calling bad plays to make the QB look bad...if anything Weeden has shown the ability to throw the deep ball like Shurmur is calling, it's up to the ohter guys to catch it...and he did have a terrible game, no one is saying he didn't...just saying that if he didnt have that collapse of a game, he's solid, and since then he has been pretty good IMO, besides some bad throws, and there's a difference between the O playing well and the QB playing well...when the QB is putting the ball where it's supposed to be, that's not on him and with the lack of a running game that doesnt help anyone. And the D needs to do a better job against feaking Ballard. I've never even heard of that guy.

17 points is really having the way with our defense. :rolleyes:shook_17;1300946 wrote:^^ lol what does weeden have to do with the the defense letting luck and vick ballard have their way with our defense. you are a fucking ididot. aren't you a cowboys fan?
Also, I take it you resort to a personal attack because you dont have a valid point, you just like to be up BR's butthole.

Here's how it would have happened if Gordon catches that ball. Luck would take them down the field and score to win it. Defense sucks, it's their fault. It's never Weeden's fault.Weeden had a bad 2nd half because Shurmur called fucking 40 yard passes every other play. -

Exactly..shook has to name call because he gets so upset when someone bashes his boy Weeden...and he's got his dingy so far down BR's mouth, when someone bashes BR's boy, he gets double angry. Hence, the name calling.Pick6;1301027 wrote:Also, I take it you resort to a personal attack because you dont have a valid point, you just like to be up BR's butthole.

ts1227Enough with the attacks and name calling

I didn't care if Shurmur won 11 in a row to end it, he needs to be fired because what we saw today is who he is and always will be.
So you can't think of a poster. Got it. -

Oh my, you can tell you're young...and not very intelligent (but most of us knew that). You might want to do a bit of research on Weeden...this guy isn't the scrub you want to portray him as. He may not get the trophies that Otto Graham had but this guy is putting up some of the BEST numbers in the HISTORY of the Cleveland Browns. That includes the beloved Kosar & Sipe. Put a defense behind him and this guy will win some games...A LOT of them.SportsAndLady;1301026 wrote:Indianapolis fans laugh at you.

Weedon played good today. Is the loss on him? No it's on Gordon and hodges. And shurmer. The d played horrible the first half but stepped it up the 2nd half. There is no reason we should have lost this game -

lol they did what they wanted. they controlled the clock for 35:21. the colts first drive was what 8 9 minutes? and ballard averaged 4.2 yards a carry. they pushed our defense around. the only reason the colts didn't score more points is because our secondary the rest of our defense played like pussies, so the made catches and ran the ball to keep the clock running. the colts only had nine drives. just ate the clock up.Pick6;1301027 wrote:17 points is really having the way with our defense.

And why SHOULD it be Weeden's fault? He played a near flawless game. Clearly outplayed Luck. -

Especially with no run game today. I really blame this game on shurmur. His dumb ass play calling and not going for it on 4th and 1 and wasting a timeout just to punt the ball. -

it seems as if you want it to always be weeden's fault to promote your own agenda against him.SportsAndLady;1301030 wrote: Here's how it would have happened if Gordon catches that ball. No I agree..well sort of. Weeden looked okay, not good. You don't look good putting up 13 points. My point is that no one wants to blame Weeden, ever.Crimson streak;1301043 wrote:Weedon played good today. Is the loss on him? No it's on Gordon and hodges. And shurmer. They just "forget" about the 1st game. Just throw it away. Forget that the defense actually played really well and Weeden blew a great opportunity. Wash their hands of that game. -
SportsAndLady
I don't think it's ever really Weeden's fault...moreso laugh at all the blame being shifted to everyone BUT Weeden.dazedconfused;1301055 wrote:it seems as if you want it to always be weeden's fault to promote your own agenda against him. -

Ok it was his first nfl game. People are saying if you take that game away his numbers don't look that bad. And he has gotten better over the year. No one is saying weedon didn't have a shitastic game against the eagles. And the defense didn't play that good against the eagles. Mike Vick was giving the browns gifts like he has all year. -
BR1986FB
No, we don't "forget the first game" but those who have their "agenda" will bring it up as if it's Weeden's "usual play." The game was an outlier.SportsAndLady;1301058 wrote:No I agree..well sort of. Yes, he played it but since then he has improved from game to game. It's understood. He looked like shit in that first game but you'd think he played like that weekly with your bashing.
The Philly game was COMPLETELY Weeden's fault. That was established long ago but you'd think by a select fews posts on here that he was throwing 4 picks a game still. -
SportsAndLadyWhatever, I'm not going to change my mind; you're not going to change your (delusional) minds.
When we're 8-8 in 5 years, I'll come back to say i told you so. -

Aww, too bad. Weeden's still the best QB this team has seen in a very LONG time and he's only going to get better. You might want to study a little Browns history since you're such a loyal "fan."SportsAndLady;1301061 wrote:I don't give a shit that you are old and remember all of these old players. -

Yeah cause geno smith or some other shitastic qb in this draft is going to. If there was a luck or rg3 in this draft I would honestly take a qb but there's not all these qbs have a huge bust factor to them. I would rather build up the rest of the team with weedon at qb than waste a first rounder on a qb that will probably bust. -
BR1986FB
Agreed. If there were an RGIII or Luck in this draft I'd have no issue with using the #1 on a QB. You don't just draft a QB to draft a QB because you don't like a QB because of his current age.Crimson streak;1301071 wrote:Yeah cause geno smith or some other shitastic qb in this draft is going to. Which is what you base your argument on..which is what you're not seeing here.BR1986FB;1301069 wrote:Weeden's still the best QB this team has seen in a very LONG time
In a hypothetical situation, just because the 8th best player out of 10 is better than the 9th and 10th, doesn't mean he's any good. -

But he has shown he can be pretty good. Like I said I feel like he's going to be like Matt Shaub. Look at Houston, build a good defense and o line and run the ball with trich and pass off of the run. Honestly I want saban as the head coach because this is exactly what he does.
