Should of traded him while he was healthy. He's always hurt. Nobody is going to give up anything good for him.

Yeah SMH if him not being close is true..how do you not trade him when he was playing out of his mind?

    Maybe no one wanted him?

I think it's more like the Cavs probably wanted too much.

Wanting too much vs teams that would want him not having the package to give for him. If we're getting rid of Andy, I don't want garbage in return. We wanted draft picks, teams that would want Andy (Win now/good teams) don't have good picks to give up. Simple.

We weren't going to get garbage for him. We weren't going to get rudy gay straight up, which is probably why we didn't trade him (wanting too much).

I'd take a future first rounder for him. Fuck it, its better than nothing, which is probably what they'll get now for him. Its not like were doing anything with him, might as well dump him for something.

Future 1st rounder from who? If its the Heat, I'll pass. Rather have Andy.

Toronto's unprotected pick that OKC owns was the prize everyone on RCF talked about. Hell at this point if it turns out he's only healthy in time for the playoffs I'd still try to trade him for OKC's pick which right now would be #30 and PJIII or Lamb. It's probably unrealistic but they're in win now mode and those guys are at the end of the bench playing for their D-League team.

Yeah that's the goal, but is OKC moving it? I haven't heard any noise that they're wanting to deal it. Takes two to tango, something lot of people forget.

I think it was a lot of internet GM's looking at it that we could take on Perkins and lousy his PER rating of 8 for similarly priced Andy and a 22 PER. To compensate for the return of a worse player the Cavs would get the Toronto pick in return.

    Varejao surgery
Cavs center Anderson Varejao will undergo surgery this Thursday at the Cleveland Clinic and is expected to be out for six to eight weeks.

Ill take that 30th pick now. You'd be crazy not to.

Yeah, I am done with AV. He can't stay healthy and he will be too old by the time the Cavs are worth watching....trade him for a rack of basketballs.
  • Pick6
smh fuck! First it was a bruised knee and he was expected to possibly be back as early as last Tuesday and now this....

His trade value was at an all time high. And this is also why we cannot keep him, because his body does not hold up with his playing style.

huge setback in the rebuild, imo.

also would like to point out if we get get a first for Ramon freaking Sessions as well as a lotto pick and Baron Davis for Moon and Mo, there is no doubt in my mind we could have gotten just as much out of the leading rebounder in the league (as well as a walking double-double). Lakers could use him right now...

M.S. Boyer/J. Valade ‏@PDcavsinsider In injury news no one really cares about, CJ Miles (back spasms) & Daniel Gibson (concussion) remain game-time decisions. #Cavs

    i lol'd

First time I've watched the Hawks in a while. Forgot what a great athlete Josh Smith is.

It feels so damn good watching TT develop as a player. Gives me hope for Dion, even though its so damn hard to watch.

saw on RCF that TT currently has the most career double-doubles of players in the league 21 and under.

I saw that as well. There's no doubt that he's been playing great ball since Andy went down

I agree with some of the posts over there on what the Cavs would have got in exchgange for Andy. Personally, I dont think he would have brought in anything but an expiring contract or two and a high draft pick. I guess that's better than nothing but still nothing great.

This is why I laughed and argued with posters and people who claimed Tristan was a bust or wouldn't develop into anything... He's still young and raw, but you can see his work ethic and the fact that he's showing a TON of improvement within this season alone is a GREAT sign moving forward... Hell, he's hit a couple of jumpers recently and his FT shooting is vastly improved.

I have full faith in Dion as well. His scoring ability is too great not to turn into at least a very good player. Not every rookie comes into the league like LeBron or Kyrie...

I'm always cautious when looking at stats of players on terrible teams. Hopefully he does continue to develop though. It'd be nice to have the Cavs fighting for the playoffs in 2 years.

Haven't been watching him then. Doubt he'll be an all star but Drew Gooden/Ricky Davis he ain't.

With Varejao, the Cavs give up 100 points and score 94.2. Without him the Cavs give up 100 points and score 94.9 a game.

Has missed over 100 games the past 3 seasons. Still many more to miss this year. Take in that last season was shortened and it looks even worse.

I love Andy, but dont see how anybody can justify keeping him when thinking about the future for Cleveland.
