Not only does Austin rivers suck, but now he maybe gave Anthony Davis a concussion.

As a UConn fan, I love seeing the boys succeed at the next level and I am really hoping that Walker and Thabeet have good years. I think for Thabeet it would be sticking with the Thunder all year. Walker might lead the team in scoring but they will continue to stink.

    To end the previous possession

Harden is awful. 38 points on 19 shots with 3 minutes left.

    Both top 25 players.

We need a Harden thread because this thread is ESPN-like saturated with the same shit.

    42/6/2 now for Harden.

Give me Marc Gasol and Bynum over him all day.

I'm done posting about it, I don't need to keep pointing out the obvious.

You're implying that Jennings' game/skills/body of work somewhat compares to Harden's.

    It doesn't.

hardens body of work averaging like 13 3 n 3 career? Yeah I bet Jennings has that down. He must be top 25

No, but you're acting like a child about it with posts like your Jennings one. I didn't say James Harden was top 25 because of one game I'm saying it because of last year this summer and what he's done so far is only proof of it.

Brandon Jennings: 16.8 ppg, 5.4 apg, 3.5 rpg = Scrub, terrible body of work
James Harden: 12.8 ppg, 2.5 apg, 3.4 rpg = Top 25 player, great body of work

Interestingly enough, Brandon Jennings is 28 days YOUNGER than James Harden...

Give me more, give me shots per game, fg%, ft%, steals, blocks, turnovers, and per 48 adjusted stats

    Here's a stat for you:
Brandon Jennings = Zero rings, total scrub, terrible body of work
James Harden = Zero rings, top 25 player, great body of work

Don't forget, Harden gets to go up against second stringers and has fresh legs
Jennings has to play against 1st teamers.

Jennings 15.5 FGAPG for career with 2.34:1 A/T ratio.
Harden with 8.7 FGAPG for career with 1.56:1 A/T ratio.

Jennings plays about 4 more minutes per game for his career.

Rebounds are dead even, Harden is slightly better from the line (83% to 81%) and Harden also shoots a bit over 2% higher from the 3-point line and 5% better from the field.

I think you can argue some of Harden's "mass stats" are undervalued because of who he played with. However, I also think some of his percentages may dip slightly. It's safe to say that his numbers in both scoring and assists are bound to go way up, which is why a direct comparison to Jennings as this year moves forward probably favors Harden.

Pretty embarrassing we have to dig as far back as Brandon Jennings as someone to compare James Harden to.
  • Azubuike24
I'm abstaining from the back and forth but I think it's pretty clear Harden is the better player and has had the better and more efficient career. This argument, IMO, is just a matter of time as the gap is going to widen significantly in-terms of perception after this year. I actually thought Jennings would be better than he is.

In other news, the Kings haven't gotten any better. The Nuggets have gotten worse. The Eastern Conference is going to be Miami, Chicago and about 8-10 teams between 36-43 wins.

Finally, agreed on the Austin Rivers/Anthony Davis thing. Rivers is not only terrible, but he even takes out his own team MVP.

Eric Bledsoe can test free agency next year. I have a feeling he's going to be very highly coveted for a team looking for a potential All Star point guard. I can't see the Clips keeping him around with Paul just entering his prime.
  • Automatik
I'm not knocking Jennings at all. I too thought he would be better. He came out fearless as a rookie then kinda fell off....doesn't help that his team is shite.

Regardless, I don't see how you could compare he and Harden unless just throwing out similar aged players for the hell of it.

Will Jennings get a max deal when his time comes? Doubtful.
  • Hb31187
I would take harden over Jennings as well. I was just pointing out someone similar in age and put up just as good of numbers. But isn't thought of to even sniff the top 25.
