lhslep134Got into a debate last night at the poker table about Manning/Brady. I said Manning is clearly the better quarterback, and if rings were the indication of the QB and not the team, then Terry Bradshaw would be top 3 all time. And he was garbage.

Commander of AwesomeI'll take the 4 time league MVP over Brady. Not even close. Not even surprised that dynasty thinks its debatable, he always takes the opposite view point, and his sports knowledge (or lack there of) is well documented.

I don't think it's "clear" either.Iliketurtles;1097102 wrote:I wouldn't say its clear that Manning is better. But in my opinion I'd take him over Brady.
Manning played as a rookie while Brady didn't. Manning has also been in the league 2 more years than Brady. Take Brady's rookie season and Manning's last injury (lost) season and it's still 2 years.
Yes, Manning has 15000 yards more passing than Brady which I know Brady wouldn't make up in 2 years BUT Manning's TD to INT ratio is 2:1 while Brady's is almost 3:1 while Brady hasn't had NEARLY the supporting cast, offensively, that Manning has. In the next two years, if Manning didn't play, Brady would probably be about 20 TD's shy of Manning yeat wouldn't have NEARLY as many INT's. As it stands, right now, Manning has 198 INT's while Brady has 115.
I'd love to give Brady the weapons Manning has had and see how he fared. -

You're also forgetting Brady's knee year. It's closer than that. -

BR1986FBAccording to John Czarnecki of FOX Sports, the Rams have been getting "weird, uninterested signals" from the Browns on the possibility of trading up two spots to draft Baylor's Robert Griffin III.
RGIII is coming off a dominant Combine, exceeding height expectations, exploding with Vick-like speed, and putting on the most impressive news conference display ESPN's John Clayton has seen in 24 years in Indy. While there's little doubt that Griffin will go off the board at No. 2 overall, we've now seen several reports in two days suggesting the Browns won't be nearly as aggressive as the Redskins. We've also seen at least a handful of national reports warning not to rule out a "mystery" team in the RGIII sweepstakes.

Not gonna get all upset or excited on any of these rumors. We still have FA, and what teams are showing right now could very well be a smokescreen. After FA, we'll have a much better idea who is looking to draft who.BR1986FB;1097364 wrote:According to John Czarnecki of FOX Sports, the Rams have been getting "weird, uninterested signals" from the Browns on the possibility of trading up two spots to draft Baylor's Robert Griffin III.

They are in complete disarray (especially regarding who wants/doesn't want RG3) regarding what they want to do at QB right now.like_that;1097370 wrote:Good to see. -

If true, expect the Browns to continue failing for multiples seasons. Whatever team drafts RG3 will have drastic improvement immediately.BR1986FB;1097364 wrote:According to John Czarnecki of FOX Sports, the Rams have been getting "weird, uninterested signals" from the Browns on the possibility of trading up two spots to draft Baylor's Robert Griffin III.

I completely agree but I don't think they should go crazy with a "Ricky Williams type deal." As some have mentioned, he IS going to need someone to throw to even though I believe his presence would help the current receivers improve.said_aouita;1097393 wrote:If true, expect the Browns to continue failing for multiples seasons. My understanding is that they are torn on him. Half want him while the other half think he's another Michael Vick (which is bullshit if you've watched him play) and have no idea how to use him in the WCO. -

Same things were said about Ryan Leaf.said_aouita;1097393 wrote:If true, expect the Browns to continue failing for multiples seasons. Whatever team drafts RG3 will have drastic improvement immediately.
Oh and didn't the Rams draft Sam Bradford #1 2 years ago? Where's their drastic improvement? I believe they're picking 2nd this year.
Your post is way too speculative to say the Browns will continue failing if they don't take RG3. -
BR1986FB
And Ryan Leaf didn't give a fuck about football. Same can be said for JaFatAss Russell & Akili Smith. They were just looking to get paid. RG3 is pretty well grounded with a head on his shoulders. Brought up in a military family he's had to earn what he's gotten. He'll be a "little" different than Ryan Leaf.lhslep134;1097403 wrote:Same things were said about Ryan Leaf. -

Even so, what about Sam Bradford? Seems like a very good kid, taken #1 overall, and now the Rams are picking #2 just 2 seasons later. Doesn't seem like immediate drastic improvement to me at all.
And how do you know for certain he won't be a flop? You don't.
