NFL Combine

Bradford had absolutely no one to throw to or protect him last year, give him Blackmon and a decent number two and his numbers rise a lot. if Bradford can stay healthy and gets some weapons around him he's a top 10 qb.

Drew Brees has said chase Daniels is basically a younger version of him.

I've always liked chase Daniels when he was at mizzou. I could see Him being successful some day in the nfl. As for Bradford. I think the rams really want to deal with the browns. I think they know this and we may see stl keep the 2nd pick and take kalil. The rams need to protect Bradford and kalil won't be there at 6 if they trade with Washington. Really it's going to be who caves first and knowing how the browns front office are I don't see them budging. Now the Vikings situation is scary. They want to deal out of the 3 spot if rgIII is there but they want Claiborne. If Washington trades up to 3 there is a high possibility of the browns taking Claiborne so he wouldn't be there at 6. So there is a good chance rgIII is there at 4

Haha yeah I laughed when I saw he ran a 5.10.

Brandon Lloyd is a nobody? I mean he only lead the league in reception yards in 2010.... I will agree with you about protection though the Rams really need some O-Line help.

I don't think Bradford will be top 10 anytime soon though. I would put Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Manning(s), Romo, Rivers, Stafford, Schaub, Big Ben, Vick, Ryan, Flacco all ahead of him. Plus guys like Newton, Smith, Sanchez, Freeman are probably better or around the same as him.

QB isn't the Browns' problem. The Browns are the Browns' problem.

Good to see a couple Michigan guys doing well. Molk and Martin both impressing. And I think Hemingway might find his way onto a roster.

ESPN has a report up that the Rams have decided they will trade the 2nd pick, and that the question is no longer if but where.

Time for the regime to start getting serious about thinking about what they are willing to give up as it appears that any dream scenario of him possibly falling to 4 is now out based on what is being reported.

I'm hoping only chance Cleveland has at landing that #2 spot is if St Louis can't find someone to offer the farm and are stuck w/ having to pick #2. Then last minute Cleveland offers that other first round pick and exchange 2 for 4.

I really hope H&H don't offer anymore than that.

Still gotta see where all these FA QB's go. Like I said, other teams might realize they don't need to mortgage their future to get a good QB. Maybe they will like Case Keenum, or Tannenhill. Hopefully everyone tells the rams to go fuck themselves.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping. If everyone is throwing 3-5 picks at STL and Cleveland is still talking to STL, I'll be really annoyed at H&H.

You'd have to say Bears suck. I've never said the Buckeyes suck.

100% agree. If we give up our other 1st for Griffin, I'm OK with that.

May not get that option but this article seems to think the trade is likely to happen days leading up to the draft...

No one is going to trade for the number 2 pick until free agency is done. If Flynn goes to Miami and manning to Washington the rams are fucked and they know it.
  • Commander of Awesome
I agree with Crimson, no way this trade happens before 1 day leading up to the draft. If a a trade even happens. I'm still not sold on anything happening.

If the Browns decide they want to do this, they may not have to give up the #22. If the Rams want comparable to Eli Manning trade compensation that would be a 1st, 3rd, 5th and 2013 1st. No other team that needs a QB can offer two 1sts this year so if the Browns want him, they can give up both 1sts this year or next years in a package.

If this package (1st, 3rd, 5th and 2013 1st) wouldn't be acceptable to Browns fans, then they are just nuts. That would leave the Browns with 2, 22, 37, two 4th's, 5th, 6th and any compensatory picks they'd get this year.

    Love your optimism.

Really good showing from Luke Kuechly. Did not expect a 4.58 or for him to be a top 5 LB in all of the agility drills.

Sorry, call me nuts, but I just don't like the idea of not having a first round pick next year. If the Browns found a way to get somebody's 1st round next year with the #22 pick, then it would be nice, but that is just wishful thinking.

And that could very well happen if Washington whiffs on a QB. Shanahan mentioned they may want to trade down AND he does like Weeden. Trade the 22 for the Skins 1st next year.

Well I must be nuts then. NO FUCKING WAY I give up a 3rd, 5th, and next year's first round pick (likely a top 15 pick) to move up 2 spots and take an unproven player. I think RG3 will be good, but there is always that chance that he isn't, and if he does indeed bust, the Browns are fucking 8 ways from Sunday or however that phrase goes
  • wes_mantooth
Yeah I don't like that either, but there is a long way to go and I still think Washington can help us alot

Sure you do. The 3rd & 5th are crapshoots. You're banking on Heckert "hitting" in the 3rd & 5th? Remember, it's possible he could use that 3rd to draft someone like Hardesty again. That trade is a no brainer.

EDIT: Actually after rechecking it would be #4 and a 3rd this year and a 2013 1st and 5th according to what was paid for Eli.
