Fister is damn good. Look him up over the past 2 seasons...including his stint in Seattle. The tribe fucked up beyond belief for grabbing Ubaldo last year, when the numbers clearly showed Fister was the much better value.

6-7 w a 3.48 ERA is damn good? Sounds like a terrible w/l and a slightly above average ERA. Not sure what your getting at. Previous years mean absolutely nothing when talking about this year.

    I agree.

His 11-13 record (going 3-12 in Seattle) was nowhere indicative of his pitching ability. Seattle's offense has been extremely anemic, and he simply got awful run support. Reminded me of Felix's Cy Young year where he went 13-12, and his 12 losses included 13 runs of support.

Yeah...3.48 is damn good. And LOL at your "last year doesn't count" crap. If you don't know what I was getting at, then you shouldn't be posting on a baseball thread.

Fister is a bum. End of discussion. Peace!

Consession is never a requirement on OC...but thanks man.

Adam Dunn just hit an absolute bomb in Toronto to dead CF. It was a center cut fastball and he hit it and homer announcer Hawk Harrelson was rooting for it to "stretch" and the ball hit off the facing of the CF wall roughly 55 feet above the field....the other announcer just laughing at him telling it to "stretch"....he said it was a Herman Munster HR.

Would've knocked windows out of the boat in GABP.

Dunn follows with an opposite field HR

33 for the season and #398 for his career

Was his 1,000th career RBI (age 32)

From the best team in baseball, yeah I'm on the bandwagon, the Nats are up 1-0 on the Giants, early.
Interesting article about how the Nats will shut down Strasburg, even as the team is not fully behind it.
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/stephen-strasburg-shutown-grudgingly-accepted-in-washington-nationals-clubhouse/2012/08/13/ee310fc0-e4f7-11e1-8f62-58260e3940a0_story.html?hpid=z4

    I
get why they are doing it, but playoffs are never guaranteed.
The Nats could be hosting a divisional playoff game and Straburg will be sitting on the bench in a jacket.
  • Rotinaj
Unless strasburg says he's not feeling up to pitching it's absolutely insane that they would sit him
    For a playoff run.
  • Midstate01
Melky Cabrera suspended 50 games for positive test. Wow!
  • Rotinaj
Good. I'm guessing he won't be the last big name to be suspended this year.

    Here comes the jinx!

King Felix is perfect through 7.
  • Rotinaj
Are the rays the only team in baseball that gets PGs and NHs thrown against them?
  • gorocks99
And he strikes out the side in the 8th. Perfect through 8.
  • Crimson streak
Those pitches to Pena were filthy
  • gorocks99
One down in the 9th (another K). He's still dealing some nasty stuff out there.
  • gorocks99
    Groundout and he's one away
  • gorocks99
And it's a perfect game for Felix Hernandez, the 23rd in MLB history. Struckout five of the last six batters he faced.
  • Rotinaj
Congrats king Felix. Sucks he plays for such a shitty team.

as a mariners fan, i agree. However, he has said so many times he loves seattle and wants to stay. he's smoking something.
