    He could only BP 165???

Freeman out for two weeks after his kneecap popped out of place. Probably due to the extra weight.

Statement from the guy that handled Braun's sample.

    Summary?

Basically, he followed all procedures correctly and none of the samples were tampered with.

Thank you. Not sure what MLB can do at this point but will be interesting to see how the media/public treat Braun.

Not a fan of Ozzie Guillen but I gained a whole new respect for him after reading this...

@Ken_Rosenthal: Sources: Additional wild cards a "go" for this season. Playoffs to expand from eight to 10 teams. Announcement tomorrow.

Nice! So the Red Sox and Braves will make it this year

And then lose the ensuing one-game playoff. They both showed last year that they can't cut it when its all on the line.

This is bittersweet news. I love that the Reds have a better chance of making the playoffs, but a one-game playoff for the two (four) wildcard teams is lame. I'd rather see a 3-game playoff. But then we're getting into December baseball.

Yeah Atlanta was in bad shape at the end of the year. Offense was in a funk other than UGGLA, they were down to one SP with any major league experience, and the bullpen was full of dead arms. It wouldn't have mattered other than extending the heartbreak.

    Tigers hit 9 HR today.

Chipper announced he will retire after this season. Braves put out a release that both sides want him to remain in the organization in some capacity after he's done playing.

Joba Chamberlain dislocated his ankle and the bone broke through the skin while jumping on a trampoline. Probably out for a long while and I think he was already rehabbing Tommy John surgery.

I'm old and fat....but can still jump on the trampoline. Spent a ridiculous amount of time on one growing up.....never fell off or got injured....but I fell a little short of playing for the Yankees.

    Isn't Joba around 280?

The Magic Johnson group has won the "auction" for ownership of the Dodgers.
  • wildcats20
    $2 billion was the price.

    FUCK THAT.
  • Azubuike24
Joba is 26 so if he has a 10-year old...he got started pretty early.
  • wildcats20
Joba also has his own son, 14-month-old Karter.

Bartolo Colon the early MVP favorite. Pitched more innings than anyone else, only given up one run. Shut down the voting now.

P.S. opening these games in Japan is dumb, especially while spring training is still going on.
