    Then Weeden is a pussy.

Very possible. Seems like we have a recent history of pussy QB's.

If Weeden doesn't step it up over the 7 games I think they may move in another direction. Don't like it but I see this happening. Banner didn't give him a glowing recommendation, Shurmur has thrown him under the bus and now Childress is questioning him.

I'm done going over this every week, but come on BR..stop making excuses for Weeden. That's all I ask. You can continue to believe he'll be our franchise QB. That's fine. I disagree, but it's fine. But there's nothing worse than when you and iggy make every excuse imaginable for "the kid" (he's 29 BR, that aint a kid).

Shurmur is a terrible, awful, retarded coach. It doesn't help Weeden. I get it. But Weeden has not looked like our franchise QB outside of a couple games. And WEEDEN is to blame, not Shurmur, not Holmgren, not his WRs, not the defense, not the dawg pound, and most certainly not the boogey man.

The words that come out of his moth during press conferences literally make me gag in my own throat. He sounds like a division 3 coach talking to the media about his 1st round playoff loss. Or miracle win and what he is going to do against Stubenville or Dover the next week. It boggles my mind why we hired this arrogant SOB in the 1st place, and how the HELL management keeps him around right now. Apparently the guy gives a GREAT "Old Fashioned" , no wonder Holmgrams mustache was always curled up.....
Nobody disagrees. Shurmur is horrible. The point I was trying to make had nothing to do with Shurmur.

Here's the video of Gordon's hit on Reed. IMO he even positioned himself to make sure it wasn't it the back...another terrible call in the game by the reffs.

So the latest rumor is Haslam offering Holmgren the head coaching gig?

That would be a home run. He is a shitty executive, but he is a good football coach, and likely better than anyone we could get on the open market.

Whether all the political stuff could be worked out to make it function well I am not sure, but the idea isn't crazy.

The team with another good draft can be very competitive next year, so for someone like Holmgren who is not looking for a massive rebuild that could be appealing.

The only reason I could even see him considering coaching the team is that the Cleveland tenure has been a stain on his resume, and part of me thinks he doesn't want that to be how he is last remembered.

He knows our personnel, there is no learning curve or teaching a new system, so theoretically the Cleveland coaching job compared to stepping into a new place and having to overhaul everything looks more attractive.

I doubt it will happen, but if Holmgren wants to coach (a big if I still think) and Haslam and all them could make it all work then I say go for it.

The officials on the field called it a block in the back?

Reed was a defenseless player in the situation and Gordon was called for hitting him above the shoulders.

The funny thing about that is Ed Reed has done that his whole career...but it's whatever. The NFL is basically a flag football league now. And I guess the move to switch Shurmur with Holmgreen wouldnt be bad, he's a west coast guy, has 'HIS' QB and thinks he has the team going in the right direction...get a couple key defensive guys in the draft and a OL or 2 and they could possibly make a little noise next year? Then again, this could be highly unlikely at the same time so who knows who's gonna be the HC next season.

Johnny Manziel from Texas A & M is legit. Only a red shirt freshman, id keep an eye on him in the up coming years. He could be the real deal.

Hmm. Weird when did I say that in my statement? Pulling shit out of your ass. But I guess that's what you do every day.

I still think weeden can be the guy. He is better than any qb coming out in this draft

I guess I dont understand why you would want to look at Manziel in two years if you plan on Weeden proving his worth.
