Would you prefer that they score LESS points than last year? (I know, loaded question...you want them to lose)SportsAndLady;1318470 wrote:Do you seriously not get it though? Some are taking feats that simply are not impressive (going over 27 pts in 3 games..) and making them seem impressive by comparing it to a rock bottom year lol am I the only one who doesn't read something and say "yeah were really gonna be back were moving in the right direction!"?
There has to be a "starting point" for improvement. I might be able to see your point if this roster were littered with veterans, and were a disappointment, like the Eagles, but this is the second youngest team in the league. They'll continue to improve and they get more experience.
The expectations of a bunch of rookies and second year players, by some, is ridiculous. -

They have definitely improved and there is a pretty good nucleus of talented young players. They just need consistency. And that's one of the hardest things to achieve when you're inexperienced.BR1986FB;1318456 wrote:What we've learned after 9 games....

Y-Town SteelhoundI think the uniforms could definitely use an upgrade. I wouldn't do a drastic change but here are a few ideas I always thought would be cool for the Browns uniforms.
Helmets: Obviously you keep the orange helmet with the white and brown stripe but I would change it from the dull orange to either a shinier orange (think Ohio State's helmets) or a chrome orange (think Oregon's helmet). I would also alter the shade of orange to more of a burnt orange/rust to make it embody the city more. Another added bonus would be adding numbers to the helmets like in their throwbacks from a few years back as well as changing the facemasks back to white.
Jerseys: I'd keep the brown and white jerseys pretty much the same but maybe switch up the font on the numbers. Something a little more updated and unique than just standard block font.
Pants: Definitely bring back the orange pants and pair it with either the brown or white jerseys along with the white pants.
Again nothing too crazy but as we saw with the Broncos and Buccaneers, sometimes a change of uniforms can bring new life to a franchise for unexplained reasons. -

BR1986FBFor those thinking the next Browns head coach is going to be a high profile "name" (Gruden, Cowher, Reid, Dungy, etc) coach, I'd think again. Banner will select an "up & comer" because he reports directly to Haslam. A coach like Cowher/Gruden would want to report directly to the president which won't happen. Banner will have the power here.
Don't be surprised if this team doesn't hire a GM either. Banner wants the head coach to have more say in personnel decisions than the GM (ala Andy Reid in PHI). They will come to a consensus on players and draft with a more "group think" mentality. I'm not a fan of this but I didn't just shell out over a billion dollars for the Cleveland Browns either. -
BR1986FBJimmy Holt ‏ @ jimmyktown(Radio guy in Knoxville, TN) Alabama loses a game....and possibly a coach. Haslam ain't messing around, he wants Saban in Cleveland! # Browns

Just passing along the info. Really don't think they'll go after Saban but Saban has worked in a "group think" type environment with Belichick.like_that;1319107 wrote:If that's true, so much for your last post lol. -

That is strictly opinion. Banner lost a power struggle with Andy Reid in Philly. He'll want the coach to have strong opinions but he won't want him to have too much of a "type A" personality to bypass Banner and go directly to the owner. The impression that I have is that Banner will be the only one reporting to Haslam. Could be completely off base but it's not the vibe I'm getting.SportsAndLady;1319109 wrote:Where do you get that from? Any link? -

Wasn't it Heckert, or Edwards himself, that said a contract was never offered? It was that butthole "IncarceratedBob' on twitter claiming that Edwards to the Browns was a "lock."Commander of Awesome;1319137 wrote:lol I remember when this POS said no to thebrowns, even though we offered more money. -

Perhaps but I don't recall Edwards turning down more money from the Browns. The impression that I got was that Edwards was stunned the Browns weren't in a bidding war over him. The only 'Edwards to the Browns" stuff we were hearing was coming from DumbassBob.like_that;1319145 wrote:Incarcerateddipshit said a lot of things. -

Fair enough, thought there was something on OBR. Forgot about that dipshit bob. Either way glad we didn't break the bank for that guy, just goes to show you. FA is terrible way to build your team.like_that;1319145 wrote:Incarcerateddipshit said a lot of things. -
