Not sure. Def behind Luck and RG3. Russell Wilson has been a surprise...and I don't know about Tannehill(havent seen him)Pick6;1312619 wrote:I would rate Weeden as the worst starting rookie right now. What do you guys think? -

lol, I did the exact same thing.Terry_Tate;1312620 wrote:Me too. Got him as my starting QB in my big keeper league and planning on having him his entire career, lol. -
IliketurtlesI think it goes
Luck
RG3
Tannehill(he has been a lot better than I thought he would be)
Weeden
Wilson -

He has the worst numbers and the least wins. I don't know how you could make an argument otherwise.Pick6;1312619 wrote:I would rate Weeden as the worst starting rookie right now. What do you guys think? -
Pick6
yeah..i mean its not really a knock on Weeden. He has looked good some, bad some, and average. I am just pretty impressed with the other 4 rookies.Mulva;1312630 wrote:He has the worst numbers and the least wins. I don't know how you could make an argument otherwise. -
Pick6Fake Pat Shurmur ‏@FakePatShurmur I keep saying it takes a while to build a winner. 3 teams finished last year worse than us. Those teams have 5, 3 and 5 wins respectively.

The 1 team that was even with us also has 4. Depressing.Pick6;1312642 wrote:Fake Pat Shurmur ‏@FakePatShurmur I keep saying it takes a while to build a winner. 3 teams finished last year worse than us. Those teams have 5, 3 and 5 wins respectively.
At least Jacksonville still sucks. We aren't the only ones. -

I was bummed he couldn't do live in game tweeting again today because he would have had a field day with all the material Shurmur gave him to work with today.Pick6;1312642 wrote:Fake Pat Shurmur ‏@FakePatShurmur I keep saying it takes a while to build a winner. 3 teams finished last year worse than us. Crimson streakSportsAndLady;1312610 wrote:Why is nobody bashing this post? It's saying what I've been saying all along: Weeden is serviceable, but just not someone you can build your offense around. We'll continue to be, at best, 8-8 with Weeden at QB.
Yet, I said I wish we were winless last year so we could get Luck, and people call me a faux fan. Riiiight.
But the difference is there isn't an Andrew luck in this draft or an rgIII I would dump weedon in a heart beat for a luck type qb. -
wes_mantoothMy only question regarding the rookie qbs is....does Weeden have the worst surrounding cast? Today, it didn't matter...he was so god damn terrible, he could have had calvin johnson and it wouldnt have mattered.
Luck has Wayne and the Redskins tried to surround RG3 with a bunch of FAs. -

I really don't think his cast is anywhere near the worst.wes_mantooth;1312665 wrote:My only question regarding the rookie qbs is....does Weeden have the worst surrounding cast?
He by far has the best offensive line..which is probably the most important position to be good surrounding a QB.
Trent is a beast. Josh Gordon is a beast.
His WRs do drop a ton of balls though, that you cannot deny. -

I'd say its close with Weeden and Tannehill with the worst around them. I think Wilson has the best cast around him and he hasn't impressed me much at all.wes_mantooth;1312665 wrote:My only question regarding the rookie qbs is....does Weeden have the worst surrounding cast? I think Trent is a beast and Gordon is GOING to be a beast. So happy they sold out and got Gordon...probably the one correct move this FO has madeSportsAndLady;1312669 wrote:I really don't think his cast is anywhere near the worst.

Pick6Weeden's cast out of the 5:
#1 O-line
#2 rb
somewhere between 3-5 with WRs.
Debatable with them. Garcon has hardly played this year for Washington. I dont even know another WR on the Dolphins besides Hartline. Weeden is throwing to 3 #2 picks, and a college teammate. Id rank them at 4.
I dont know if casts should be relevant, though. We all know it wasnt allowed to be an excuse for McCoy. -
wes_mantoothMy worries with Weeden are that he will be Derek Anderson. He has a cannon and throws some beautiful balls...but then he turns around and makes terrible decisions. I just want to hold off judgement on him for awhile.

MulvaNone of the 5 have very good receivers overall - Miami's is probably the worst although Washington is pretty bad without Garcon (Morgan and Hankerson?). The Colts have the worst O-line and running back situation.
I think Luck and Tannehill have the worst surrounding pieces overall. -

Seriously? Luck would have been the number 1 pick if he came out as a junior. He was the most sure fire qb possibly ever. RgIII was also a semi low bust factor as well. Look at this years qb's they all have major flaws. Could they turn out to be studs sure but that's a huge risk to draft them in the first round let alone top 5. Especially when we have much bigger needs then qb right now. -

They def have bigger needs than qb...can we draft Saban?Crimson streak;1312690 wrote:Seriously? Luck would have been the number 1 pick if he came out as a junior. Lol but I'm really digging Montgomery or mingo -
wes_mantoothI just noticed that this will be my 475th post in this thread....I am a loser.

SportsAndLadyCrimson all I'm saying is you don't know how the QBs are going to turn out in this upcoming draft. Sure, there are no "hype" QB's like Luck, but that doesn't mean someone won't shoot up the draft boards after the senior game/combine/private workouts and turn out to be great. Happens almost every year it seems.
