There will be nothing left to prove on the college level, and it will eat at him his time in the league is viewed as such a disaster.

Pete Carroll went through the same things a few years back and ultimately made the jump to come back because guys at that level are always looking for a new challenge.

Saban will be back, whether it is with the Browns or not is the bigger question.
Pete left bc he would have been in a lot of shit had he stayed at USC, not due to some "itch" he had to go back to the NFL

He actually met with the Patriots coaching staff and gave them advice on basically running the Oregon offense this year. So far Brady and the offense have looked great playing Oregon style proving with the right people it might work in the NFL.
    they are 2-3

And I could see Saban bolting from Bama, ala Pete Carroll. You know they are dirty.

Now THIS I could buy into.

I hope they bring in a fiery guy to coach...not someone that doesn't know the NFL rules and seems generally confused all the time.

Mary Kay Cabot ‏@MaryKayCabot #Browns HC Shurmur on the flak jacket T-Rich will wear: "It's bullet-proof...He told me he already was.''

unless a ****storm of ncaa sanctions is looming in tuscaloosa, i can't see him leaving the "saban empire"

WTF? First TJ Ward now this? I'm assuming he couldn't "catch" the bus...

@RuiterWrongFAN: #Browns "not sure" why Greg Little isn't at practice

I'm about done with both of those bone heads.

Gruden has said before if he returns to coaching he wants full control of the team. Saban would also probably want full control. I can't see Saban leaving because he just signed a 2 year extension thru 2019 that also raised his buyout. He will be 61 on Halloween and I think he's content to finish his career winning at Bama.

What about Andy Reid if he's fired from Philly and his connections to Banner.

No thank you on the walrus.....

Banner lost a power struggle with Reid in Philly.

I really hope Saban doesn't end up being the guy. I would expect him to be like Carroll and demand full control of the franchise if he ever did come back.

Seems to be working out pretty well for Carroll so far.

Carroll is a charismatic guy that players love. Saban is just a dick.

The Seahawks won't be winning anything anytime soon though.

Saban may be a dick but I think we'd have a better chance with him as coach than we will with whatever no name coordinator they will probably hire.
