This. That's gotta. E the funniest comparison out there right now.

How about I bring up all the shitty QBs that never panned out and had better numbers than Weeden so far..then make an argument that he won't even be as good as those shit QBs

I wonder is Shurmur really believes the shit that comes out of his mouth at his pressers.

The funny thing is that I've heard he's "fiery" and "vocal" to players at practices & behind closed doors bitching them out? Now does ANYBODY picture this? I personally picture him talking to his players in a mealy mouthed voice like the dude with the stapler in Office Space.

Yds/attempt is a lot more important than yardage. When you attempt 50+ passes I would hope you would throw for 300 yards. Even McCoy hit 350 in the Tennessee game last year when all they did was pass.

Only Russell Wilson and Blaine Gabbert are worse at this point in YPA. Not to mention this...

His "clutch rated" numbers are miserable. He hasn't been completely awful since the first game, but there is nothing "amazing" about his play, regardless of how many starts he's had.

He's actually played amazing for someone old enough to be my great grandpa.

We are leading the free world in drops as a team.

To think that isn't playing a role in his completion % and yards per attempt being low is being either incredibly naive or down right stupid. You can choose which of the 2 you prefer.

They also lead the "free world" in pass attempts. More pass attempts tends to result in more drops. Pretty simple correlation. Giants, Lions, Saints, Packers, Broncos, and Patriots are all top 10 in drops too.

If you think eliminating 5 drops and taking the Browns to league average would suddenly even take him out of the bottom 5 in the league in YPA you're insane.

Here's what I really care about: 3 TD, 7 INT, 60.4 passer rating, 0-4 record. The burden is on Weeden to prove he's "the guy", not on me to prove he isn't.

Ugh. I hope not (regarding Heckert).

Edit: also every single point about the Indians.

Edit edit: also the Cavs. So many ifs and questions.

    Fucking Cleveland sports.

Interesting thought....if the Browns continue to improve, offensively (Weeden/Richardson shine, but the defense fails the offense), yet continue to lose and are the top pick in the draft, if offered by a team below them, do you do an RGIII type trade if someone covets one of the top QB's? They could get that 2nd rounder back they burned on Gordon, and more.

If Weeden continues to improve id do it in a heartbeat as long as we stay in the top 6 or so. What would we even use a #1 pick on? im not big on taking a WR at 1 unless its a Calvin Johnson which i dont see in this next draft.

Yes, I'd do this as long as you stay in the top 12 picks...

Where in the Hell was this Buffalo run defense last week when T-Rich was toting the rock?

If dumbass Shurmur were smart, which, again...he' not, he'd give the Giants a HEAVY dose of Richardson. Giants run D is putrid. You'd think a coach would see this shit like EVERYONE else but he has to be "cute" and try to outsmart everyone by doing the opposite. :(

its alright guys. another 2 weeks, another 2 losses and the haslam regime takes over and patty boy should be on his way out. he has to make a statement early and show this team that winning is not acceptable and won't be tolerated.

I don't agree with douchebag Grossi often but this time he's spot on.

Shurmur's rigid inflexibility will be his downfall. He has the players (Richardson/Weeden) to put up some impressive offensive numbers but he's neutering them. This offense COULD be real good if Shurmur played to his player's strength's like good coaches do.

Why NOT come out in a jailbreak/hurryup offense? It seems to be what Weeden thrives in.

When all's said & done and Shurmur gets fired he'll likely think "what brought this on?" It was your "love" of this stupid Holmgren/rigid (3/5/7 step drop) WCO that cost you your head, dumbass.

Makes me sad to even think about the hiring. I remember at the time hearing rumors that John Fox would be the guy because of the Bob Lamonte connection to Holmgren. He some how ended up in a Denver situation that at the time seemed worse than Cleveland, and instead we got Shurmur.

Fox and his flexibility it turns out is exactly what this franchise needed.

On CBS yesterday they handed Shannon Sharpe a Browns schedule and asked him where the win was going to come, and he said this team has 1-15, 2-14 written all over it. Bill Cowher jumped in and defended the Browns saying he thinks they will find 3-4 wins.

Either way, who would have guess when Homgren came to town the win total would decrease from 5 to 4 to less than 3 in his 3 years here. Hell of a rebuild I tell you.

He is ready to take over for the Browns.

Cowher isn't coming here. The only way I'd want this guy is if he were flexible enough to stay with a 4-3. They are only a few pieces away, defensively, from being decent.
