When did you change it from "with Shellbucks"?BR1986FB;1053248 wrote:I have a radio alarm clock that goes off at 4:15am that plays a song entitled "Fuck with Dynasty".
I also realize this isn't the real Dynasty so he's (the real one) taking more shit than he deserves because of this imposter. -
Crimson streakWatching the Houston Baltimore game and it sucks how bad I wanted Jj watt in last years draft

Mr MiyagiI hope losing the DB coach to Dallas doesn't set the development of our DB's back.....the last 3 years I always thought that the defensive backfield would be a weakness and they always turned out doing pretty good IMO ....of course someone new might do even better......any thoughts ?

our pass rush would be ferocious with him and sheard...although it looks like watt is excelling at sheard's position, the ldeCrimson streak;1053466 wrote:Watching the Houston Baltimore game and it sucks how bad I wanted Jj watt in last years draft -

I agree with ya..It's a big loss becuase that's all haden has known for his DB coach in his entire career in the NFL.Mr Miyagi;1053467 wrote:I hope losing the DB coach to Dallas doesn't set the development of our DB's back.....the last 3 years I always thought that the defensive backfield would be a weakness and they always turned out doing pretty good IMO ....of course someone new might do even better......any thoughts ? -
Mr Miyagi
Of course the Browns will probably get a hold of sports agent Lamonte and see if he has any clients who want to be a DB coachDeyDurkie5;1053469 wrote:I agree with ya..It's a big loss becuase that's all haden has known for his DB coach in his entire career in the NFL. -

Would rather have the special teams coach back...smhMr Miyagi;1053467 wrote:I hope losing the DB coach to Dallas doesn't set the development of our DB's back.....the last 3 years I always thought that the defensive backfield would be a weakness and they always turned out doing pretty good IMO ....of course someone new might do even better......any thoughts ? -
BR1986FBThis is probably the ONLY way I take Blackmon at #4...if we have him already locked up at QB. Actually, I'd see if the Redskins wanted to trade up to #4 if this position is locked up....

Yeah maybe we get some interceptions next year. That'd be nice for a change.Mr Miyagi;1053467 wrote:I hope losing the DB coach to Dallas doesn't set the development of our DB's back.....the last 3 years I always thought that the defensive backfield would be a weakness and they always turned out doing pretty good IMO ....of course someone new might do even better......any thoughts ? -
Commander of AwesomeI'd rather take a WR like Wright at #4 than Blackmon TBH. I know that isn't the popular perception, but give me the guy who's ceiling is Carolina Steve Smith vs Anquan Boldin.

I would take a guy whose ceiling is Darius Hayward bey at this point...lol -

I wouldn't take Wright at 4 but I get your point. I think Wright has a higher ceiling than Blackmon and am not nearly as high on him as many others. If they have the QB in place prior to the draft it will be interesting to see what they do. Wouldn't be adverse to Blackmon in that case but he wouldn't be my top choice.Commander of Awesome;1053946 wrote:I'd rather take a WR like Wright at #4 than Blackmon TBH. MulvaBlackmon is much more explosive than Boldin. I doubt he'll run a 4.7 at the combine.
I'd take Boldin in a second though. -
royal_kLarry Fitzgerald didn't run a great 40 at the combine. I think he's done ok. Jerry Rice wasn't a speeedster. He did ok. Blakmon will be a stud. The eye test proves it to me.
-
bases_loadedHow can you watch Blackmon play and not think he's the best. Fuck 40 times, kid is the best player on the field anytime he suits up
-
zach24oz40 times and stuff like that is overrated to me. Remember when people said Joe Haden didnt run a fast enough 40 and we still took him at 7? He has looked alright to me... Game speed is what people should care about more than how fast a guy runs in a 40 yard dash.

BR1986FBTwo other possible QB names (either/or) who could be out there are Matt Schaub and TJ Yates. No interest in Yates but Schaub would be woth looking at. I'd think they'd dump Yates before Schaub.
-
jmogI like shuttle times better than 40 times for WRs and DBs. Shuttle times show your agility and acceleration. 40 time is more a measure of top speed (ok, acceleration as well).
However, getting in and out of cuts is much more important for WRs and DBs.
40 time becomes important if you are chasing someone down from behind, and that's it. -

They definitely won't dump Schaub. They are SB contenders with Schaub next year.BR1986FB;1054558 wrote:Two other possible QB names (either/or) who could be out there are Matt Schaub and TJ Yates. No interest in Yates but Schaub would be woth looking at. I'd think they'd dump Yates before Schaub. -

Agreed. I'd be pissed if they brought in Yates to compete with McCoy. Hell, Kubiak was a buffoon for not pulling Yates, when he turned into an interception machine, and plugging in (gulp) Delhomme.like_that;1054562 wrote:They definitely won't dump Schaub. I'd put a Schaub on crutches out there, before I put failhome back in a playoff situation. Despite Yates being an INT machine, the Texans should have won anyway. They have Jacoby Jones trying to be a hero to thank.BR1986FB;1054571 wrote:Agreed. I'd be pissed if they brought in Yates to compete with McCoy. They didn't have any viable alternatives that's for sure.BR1986FB;1054571 wrote:Agreed. I'd be pissed if they brought in Yates to compete with McCoy. Hell, Kubiak was a buffoon for not pulling Yates, when he turned into an interception machine, and plugging in (gulp) Delhomme.
Yates? Good lord I'll be tasting gun barrel if that happens. -
bases_loadedI find it hard to believe they only signed yates to a one year deal. As high as they and others were I'm sure he's signed multi years and cheap
-
BR1986FB
Yates was a deer in headlights. He was in full on panic mode and wasn't seeing the field. In the brief time Delhomme played this year he looked solid. Putting him in there would have given Baltimore a different wrinkle to worry about. Using his time with the Browns to assume that he was going to shit the bed isn't a given. He couldn't have done much worse than Yates.like_that;1054574 wrote:I'd put a Schaub on crutches out there, before I put failhome back in a playoff situation. Agree on Jacoby Jones. When he tried to field that I was like "WTF?" -
Commander of Awesome
Larry Fitz is about 3 or 4 inches taller than him though, thats the point with Blackmon. He's not overly big, fast, explosive off the line, has drop issues, and played in a spread offense. That's why I'd rather get a guy like Wright, Floyd, Sanu, or Quick. All of which I think have potential to be better WRs at the next level than Blackmon. Most scout's agree, Blackmon's ceiling is Boldin and that's not good enough at #4 IMO. Would I like Boldin on the Browns? Absolutely. But I'd much rather have Steve Smith, Fitzgerald, Nicks etc....royal_k;1054517 wrote:Larry Fitzgerald didn't run a great 40 at the combine. I think he's done ok. Jerry Rice wasn't a speeedster.
