if it was something reasonable (3 yr/12-14mil), i could get behind a flynn signing. wouldn't want them to break the bank

Least Cassel started most of the season and had good stats. Flynn has a game. I would be nervous about signing him to big money, but I would also be nervous with RG3.

i wouldn't be surprised if washington threw a lotta money at him. seeing how they might not be able to trade up a qb. maybe jason campbell back to washington?

Just when I thought some of the Browns fan/Buckeye homers couldn't get ANY more FUCKING stupid with the love of the former OSU players some dumbfuck over on the OBR proposes throwing "one of the 1st round picks at Oakland for Terrelle Pryor" justifying it by saying "had he stayed his senior season he would've been a 1st rounder ANYWAY."

I agree...now Troy Smith on the other hand.................
  • shook_17
lol i seen that. he said holmgren has to be regretting not taking him in the supplemental draft haha

Can't get ahold of him. Don't think they have cell phone reception in the area he's been exciled to.

There are also those who still think Brady Quinn deserves a "fair chance" too.

Why did I immediately think of Scott Mitchell after reading this?

Will they practice not jumping off side in the off season?

I want RG3. A WR and Mike Adams with our top 3 picks.

I just want to see us go after some FA guys and try to get the team headed into the right direction going towards the draft. It all depends on if Bowe, Colston, and the other bigger name guys don't resign with their current teams, CLE just has to be willing to put out some money if they want to bring in some guys who are going to help the team now. If Both Luck and RGIII are somehow gone before the #4 pick, I wouldnt mind taking a look at the CB Claiborne, but they could also be willing to trade up a few spots and look at some defensive help or go ahead and take Blackmon. I wouldnt be against looking at taking Kuelchy or some of the other top LBs with our 1st or 2nd 1st round pick...thats if we someway trade up out of the 4 spot if the top QBs arent there.

There are SO many free agent WR's available in this free agency that even if some re-sign there is still going to be some quality there.

If we can get a good lb in fa and a big receiver aka colston, bowe, d jax, v jax. I say we go all in for luck. We would give up both 1st and a 3rd this year. And next years 2nd plus McCoy. Then with our 2nd rounder this year we take either a rt or a corner. If that would happen this team could make the playoffs next year I believe. That would make the offense so much better and the run d much better. That would be my dream scenario

this. get a FA wide out as well (garcon, colston, bowe, jackson) with kendall wright, floyd or jeffery teamed up with little in the slot and cribbs as our number 4.

I know that Andy Dalton and the Bengals backed into this years' playoffs but it's a pretty talk order to think a first year rook will take the Browns to the playoffs.

Don't care about the playoffs next year. I just want a QB in place that I think can lead us to a playoff VICTORY. I'm willing to wait

Yeah but it wouldn't be that far fetched he would have a solid d. Resign Hillis so we have a decent run game solid o line and a good receiving core. And luck is a special player that can make the players around him better. He wouldn't be your average rookie qb

Well...here's next year's schedule minus the usual suspects (BALT, PITT, CINN)....

Home: Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles,
    Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills.

Away: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants
    and Indianapolis Colts.

Early reports I'm hearing are that free agency should be somewhere around March 13th.

Another shitty home slate. At least the Eagles game has some appeal. Bills hopefully get better. Chiefs and Chargers are rather manic. Redskins, meh. Now, road games are Cowboys, Giants, Colts, Raiders, etc. My god. All good opponents to travel to, marquee game-wise. And how many years now will we travel to Oakland. I can't even remember the last time we hosted them.

I just hope our home game against the Steelers and Ravens are not the last week of the season. I hate the Week 17 home game. Would love if the NFL gives up this 'last two weeks are divisional games' and we can see more of our divisional games spread throughout the middle of the season.

I just hope they don't pull the bullshit they pulled this year making 4 of the last 5 games against division opponents.

A little early but on paper that schedule looks very rough.
