I meant I wasn't aware he was a ufa and I wouldn't mind how much the Cavs gave him. He's a douche but I'd love to have him.

I don't want anyone this year that will keep us out of the lottery. One more lottery + a key FA or two and we have a baller team

Are you saying you don't want Bynum

How many key free agents have we got lately? I think if we can get Bynum now it'd be dumb not to.

It wouldn't be this year. It'd be next for Bynum. If you mean humphries, well he doesn't put the cavs over the top or anything.

Bynum wouldnt happen until after next season. The Cavs will have another lottery pick next season.

I'm not taking Humphries alone, if we can get another draft pick that's a different story

    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA

As @KBergCBS reports, Cleveland's legit 3rd-team scenario for Kris Humphries. Cavs want draft pick sweetener to take him on, sources tell Y!

I read from another basketball guy(I follow too many to remember exactly who it was, but will look again), that the Cavs would give up a first rounder.

    And Wojo just tweeted this...

Cleveland's interest with Humphries is exclusively to use him as a means to stockpile further draft picks and assets, league source says.

So we would be giving up OUR first round pick to get Humphries so we can turn around and try to trade him? I don't see him being better than a 1st and 2nd so we would basically be trading our 1st to get another teams 1st(which probably won't be as good as ours) and a 2nd. There is no point in it really!

I'm not. A young PG who is likely going to be a superstar and locked up for the next several years... The Cavs have potentially put together a nice young core and Bynum probably feels the team will be in a great position, especially with him at Center.

    I'd LOVE to have him.

Players would have come to Cleveland had LeBron told them he was staying past his last contract.

I don't honestly believe bynum is smart enough to comprehend that.

lol. Well, why the hell else would he want to come to Cleveland? Our new casino? The melt?

Agreed, it really doesn't make any sense unless the Cavs another first round pick that I am not aware of.

Again, people: Cleveland isn't providing picks to trade for a player it can sign for free. Any picks are going the other way. -- John Hollinger (@johnhollinger)

Cleveland has cap space to sign Hump outright and showed no interest in doing so. Nets need some serious sweeteners.

from what I see, we'd be keeping our 1st rounders and also receiving more 1st rounders... Sounds like it may still take a lot to get the Cavs interested though.

It would. Humphries is actually a pretty decent player, but he's overpriced and doesn't fit into our future plans. If we decide to do a trade I'd have to imagine we have a grand plan in mind that won't end with this trade.
  • hoops23
I could see the Cavs taking Hump only to dump him quicker than Kim K did. They'd trade him to the first partner offering picks.

What will they be trading then? (more so of an open question to anyone than to you gport, just quoting this).
